The Republicans PAID $150,000 to Make Sarah Palin and Family Look 'Good'

Sarah Palin can take her "I'm for the regular Joe" chatter and shove it!
According to reports, the Republican National Committee has forked over more than $150,000 to dress and accessorize Palin and her family since her 'surprise' pick in August.
This shiz is for reals, y'all!
The expenses were found in the RNC’s September monthly financial disclosure report under “itemized coordinated expenditures.”
It’s a report that typically records expenses for direct mail, telephone calls and advertising. But, as of September, there was a new category of spending, “campaign accessories.”
Here's a little taste of the money the Republicans lavished on Sarah Palin to make her 'hot':
Saks Fifth Avenue (St. Louis and New York): $49,425.74.
Neiman Marcus (Minneapolis): $75,062.63
The RNC also spent $4,716.49 on hair and makeup through September - after reporting no such costs in August.
A spokeswoman for the Republican party declined to answer specific questions about the shopping tab, including whether it was necessary to spend that much and if shopping for the vice presidential nominee was ongoing.
The only reply they would give was, “The campaign does not comment on strategic decisions regarding how financial resources available to the campaign are spent."
But, hours after the story first broke and legal issues were raised, the campaign issued a new statement:
"With all of the important issues facing the country right now, it’s remarkable that we’re spending time talking about pantsuits and blouses. It was always the intent that the clothing go to a charitable purpose after the campaign."
Uh-huh.
Regular Americans are hurting and Sarah blows $70K from Republican donors at Neimans.
A review of similar records for the campaign of Democrat Barack Obama and the Democratic National Committee turned up no similar spending.
Sarah should give Michelle Obama a call. Mrs. Obama does it like the regular American.
She knows how to look good on a budget!
Like, remember when everyone thought Michelle was wearing fancy designer Narcisco Rodriguez and it turned out to be an H&M dress?

Instead of a President with 12 cars or a big rich heiress First Lady, this suffering economy needs someone in office that cares about the average person in this country, not just the wealthy person. the fact that Obama has raised so much money from fund raising and from donations from people who are suffering in this economy should tell you something….PEOPLE WANT CHANGE and are willing to help him win in this office. If McCain was able to raise as much money as Obama none of you republicans would complain about it. First, I am an Obama supporter, but I can understand the importance of looking good. My first reaction was she should already have a pretty nice wardrobe considering she is Governor of a state, and public appearances aren't new to her. But, you would almost think with all of the press that she has been receiving, Stores and designers would let her "borrow" these clothes like they do with celebrities.

WILK radio host Steve Corbett said Tuesday he obtained an Obama campaign e-mail about the internal poll showing a tight race. Pollster.com's trend line of public Pennsylvania polls has Obama leading McCain 54 percent to 38 percent.

Obama's Pennsylvania communications director Sean Smith said on Corbett's show that the field organizer who sent the e-mail may have been trying to energize Obama volunteers. Smith wouldn't confirm the internal poll numbers, but he said that the e-mail was sent without permission and that the campaign worker has since been reprimanded.

How exactly am I flip floping about the war? I never supported going to iraq to begin with. Can I ask a question? You said we need to stay in Iraq and finish what we are doing right? Well, what exactly are we "doing" in Iraq? Didn't we go there to get Bin laden and stop al qaeda who launced the 911 attacks on us? He is afghanistan, the place we should have went in the first place. Thats why everone questions bush's decison to go to Iraq. Again, maybe you should be a little more informed.
Also, there is a difference between "Natural born citizen" and "Citizen" You were half right. If you have two parents in the military who are US citizens and are born out of the country that does automatically make you a citizen of america but to be a "Natural born citizen" you actually have to be born in america. You should probably double check your facts before you take a leap and call someone an idot, you may end up making yourself look silly and un-informed.

She's been bitching about Barack wanting to "spread the wealth" all week, but it looks like she doesn't have an issue being on the receiving end of that one. How many hockey moms do you know with that budget? I see the need for a few new outfits, but not $150,000 with donated money? Even her husband and children were wearing designer clothes at other peoples expense. Don't they wear clothes in Alaska? Why the need for a makeover for an entire family? I can't believe people are actually voting for those two. With all of his homes and cars and her wardrobe how could joe the plumber, joe six-pack or a real hockey mom ever relate to those two. They're out of touch with reality and this is just another example of that. Michelle Obama exudes a sense of style and confidence that you can't buy at Neiman Marcus or Saks. Regardless of what they spend on wardrobe and makeup once she opens her mouth she proves she is just a classless idiot. I'll be glad once they lose and she goes back to Alaska.
