Rednecks Heart Obama

This is a bit surprising.
We're sure most people figured that John McCain and especially Sarah Palin would have the "redneck" votes locked!
But, Barack Obama is getting some support from the Redneckers too!
Well, at least he has the vote of two rednecks.
Les Spencer and Tony Viessman are two self-proclaimed rednecks. They describe the term as "hardworking guys who like to hunt, fish, and maybe pop a beer or two."
Spencer adds, "I hunt squirrels, too. And I like eating turtles."
Eating turtles???? Poor little guys!
The two retirees from Rolla, MO, make up the entire, unaffiliated "Rednecks for Obama."
The two men have even traveled, using their own money, to all the debates and even the Democratic National Convention in the hopes of convincing others that "Obama is redneck-friendly."
Viessman adds, "This election is too important."
A retired highway patrol officer, Viessman, was even so impressed that Obama was the first presidential candidate to visit Rolla since Harry Truman, that he went out and bought a 7 by 3 foot sign to welcome him to town. Adding, "Cost me 25 bucks."
And when asked why some rednecks might not be voting for Obama, he said, "Guns. And that he's black. Sometimes change is hard for people. But I don't care if you're black or Oriental or green, if you can do the job. And he can do the job. He's pretty near the smartest guy who's ever run for president."
Spencer added, "We are just trying to tell people that you don't have to be afraid of Obama. He's not going to try to take away your guns, no matter what the NRA says."
And Viessman added, "My dad used to say, 'A poor man who votes for a Republican is a fool.' "
Let's hope everyone goes out and votes for the best candidate. Your vote will make a difference!
P.S. The best candidate is Barack Obama, duh!

Getting shot down is much different than "crashing" a plane. Of course McCain's father and grandfather helped him in the military, but he more than proved himself and very much earned is position. To discredit that is insulting. Do you vote on whether or not a candidate can read a teleprompter? Apparently many are voting that way, Obama's celebrity far exceeds his political reputation. Obama doesn't have a single substantial political accomplishment to his name. McCain's connections may have helped get into the military but he got where he is because of him. Because of his father's status, McCain had the option of returning home while being a tortured POW, BUT he didn't take it. He didn't want to leave his men behind, a "connection" didn't make that decision. The Abe Lincoln argument is utterly ridiculous. Many of the early presidents lacked experience, the things our next president will have to face far exceeds the early struggles. The war, terrorism, a failing economy, healthcare, education, etc. Experience has never been more important.

Is it obvious only to me that this election is really a clear division between good and evil? While it may seem that all blacks will vote for Obama and all "rednecks" will vote for McCain I bet this won't actually happen behind the curtain. How will we benefit from Obama's tax plan? Raising taxes on those making 250,000 or over will hit the corporations hardest. By doing this Obama will force more jobs to go overseas, more people to get laid off, more people to get fired, and more business to close down. Another way corporations will deal with higher taxes is by raising the price of the product they sell, which will effect all Americans. What good is a middle class tax cut, when Obama's plan makes you lose your job. Raising taxes during a recession is incredibly dangerous, Obama doesn't seem to realize that. Obama's playing class warfare making people think the rich are "bad" and everyone else is good. The upper 20% of taxpayers are already paying 80% of the taxes, why should they be punished for their success?

His ideas are great short term solutions, but if you look to the future, they will destroy America.
Right now, 40% of Americans DO NOT pay taxes. With Obama's plan, another 20% will be added to that. This means that the other 40% will be paying taxes for the 60% that aren't. I find something wrong with the "Robin Hood" effect. America has always been about oppurtunity, not fair distribution. Obama is trying to change America as a whole. Think of it this way.
You're an A student, because you study. There's some kids who make Cs, and that's the best that they can do, but then you have the kids who make Fs because they choose not to study. Would it be fair to take points from the A student's test to give to the F student's test? No. Then why is it ok to do it with our money?
I'm also PRO-LIFE. I don't believe that a person can possibly be pro-choice pro-life, which is those who say, "I'M not going to have an abortion, but I can't decide if that's ok for someone else!" That's illogical. When our country was originally founded, Thomas Jefferson claimed that he was not personally going to have slaves, but he wasn't going to make that choice for anyone else. Was that fair? Did the slaves have a say in the matter? No, and the innocent babies don't either. I'm mostly against partial birth abortion. When a doctor performs this kind of abortion, the baby is around 23-25 weeks. My mother works in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and they get babies ALL THE TIME at 23 weeks that live. Aborting a child when it is not completely necessary is wrong. Sen. Obama said during the final presidential debate that he was for abortion when the mother was in danger, and many people argue that abortion should be legal because of that, but many people don't realize that the instances that this happens in is probably 1 in a million that the mother would actually die. The doctors can 99% of the time save the mother AND the child.
Barack Obama, if elected, promises to enact a tax plan that he claims will “cut taxes for 95 percent of workers and their families with a tax cut of $500 for workers or $1,000 for working couples.”
The statement is patently false, and it is beyond easy to prove it’s patently false.
The 5% of Americans that Barack Obama will attack with tax increases already pay more than 50% of the total income tax burden. It is simply a naked act of class warfare to demand that people who are already overtaxed pay still more taxes.
To underscore the point above, it is also a fact that 40% of Americans pay no federal income tax at all.
How can Obama reduce federal taxes for 95% of Americans when 40% of Americans don’t pay federal taxes? He can’t. It is logically impossible.
What Obama will do is seize more from the wealthy, and - in an act of sheer pandering - give it to people who have not earned it. He will use the IRS as a welfare agency. You do all the work; I reap well over half of the benefit.
During his interview with Barack Obama, Bill O’Reilly called Obama’s plan “class warfare,” and Obama replied, “It’s not. Ninety-five percent is not class warfare.” Sure it is. Whenever one class of any size votes to take from another economic class, it’s class warfare.
