The tune is ok but I'm not sure the vocals work for me on that particular song. I”l have to hear some of the finished versions first before I can say much. It's neutral to me right now.

I like it. It's raw sounding, just like the original GnR. I will admit though that it wasn't the best choice off the album…from what I've heard so far.

for one thing you can't judge a whole album by one song. another thing is that a lot of the songs will not sound like this. its him giving it a try. to judge a cd you need all of the songs and not just one.

Rock n' roll died in about 1980. Long gone were the days of Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Crosby Steeles and Nash, The Eagles and Fleetwood Mac. Those artists were true masters of rythem and harmony, and excellent musicians. Zeppelin was probably the best. Then the 80's ushered in a lot of makeup wearing dudes, and the 90's the Grunge. You had a sprinkling along the way of some ultra heavy crap like Metalica, etc. But of course, Metalica and those sorts of bands never came anywhere close to the harmony and melody that was the bands from yesteryore.

Well it is bad, but. It would've been 100% better if it was the real GnF'nR. I mean Axl, Slash, Duff and Matt. This new back up band is just crap. Bucket head is over rated and just plain sucks imo. Too bad Axl's ego ruined his great band. I used to love GnR. I'm sad now. Was nice to hear Axl again though. I think he has a kick ass voice.. Just wish Slash and the boys would've been there to make another masterpiece.

The YouTube version of this song is not the greatest rendition - I've heard them play this live a few times in the last two years, and I loved it, along with other new stuff. Of course, this is coming from the girl who played "November Rain" in its entirety before walking down the aisle in Oct '06, and whose "first dance" with her husband was to "Patience."

This song is NOT the "comeback single," as you erroneously claimed. Go to gunsnroses.com to hear the actual first single. Additionally, the song you linked to is a DEMO that was leaked onto the internet on June 18th of this year. Please fix your mistake.
I think it's kind of unfair to judge an entire album based on one demo. Sure, it's not the original GNR, but you can always listen to Appetite if you want to hear something truly badass. I think you are shortchanging yourself by scrutinizing Axl's new material based on this one unfinished song. Even SLASH himself has praise for Axl, stating that Chinese Democracy "just shows you how brilliant Axl is." (Yes, he really said that. Look it up.)
Again, please correct your mistake, and I'm sorry this music isn't as brilliant, deep, and musically rich as "I Kissed A Girl."

First you must get away from the idea of the GNR we all grew up with…Then, listen to this a couple of times..Its really very good..It reaches towards a more industrial sound (think NIN, Ministry, MM, etc), and then listen to the depth of the music, and sound…It is very raw sounding, yet, a big production at the same time..I will always cherish the original GNR, but I am very excited to hear the entire album, and get a feel for the new GNR, as this is the start of their identity as a goup..This is important to the futire of GNR, but, also for metale in general…Rock on Axl!!!!!!!!!! Ill be at Best Buy at 12:01 am on the 23rd….join me

I actually like it! I think it's great to hear some beautiful rock and roll again and not the same old tired timbaland shit! Perez thinks Madonna's Hard Candy is good which isn't saying much.
