Supporting Discrimination

wenn129211.jpg

An interesting statistic!

Mormons all across the country are donating funds and volunteers to support Prop 8, which seeks to write discrimination into the California constitution - banning gays and lesbians from enjoying the same right and protections afforded to them by marriage that their straight friends and family members currently enjoy.

77% of funding for Prop H8te comes from Mormons.

What a great use of their money!

i cannot believe the level of hate here and it is NOt against gays it is against mormons. the comments about mormons and their beliefs and practices are not true. if you want to sound intelligent about your comments on mormons and least get an accurate and informed education.

I think its so sad that the second anything comes up about mormons and what they believe, everybody starts hating on them. You all sit there and bad mouth mormons for having strong beliefs and practicing their religion. If I didn't know any better I would think that you all are doing the exact thing that you think is so dispicable. . . DISCRIMINATING!! Most of you have no knowledge of the real mormon life. No we don't marry off 14 year olds to old men. And even if we did that is our right just as much as it is for gay men and women to be married. I am LDS and live right in the heart of Utah where 99% of my neighbors are mormon. But guess what. . . we are just like everybody else. we have our problems just like everybody else. I'm not against gay marriage. My family is not against gay marriage. But just like gay people I have the right to feel and believe and practice whatever I believe. That doesn't mean I am going to take away your right to the way you choose to live it simply means that I may not agree with the things you believe. But I have the right to that just as much as you have the right to be Gay or Lesbian or athiest or catholic or any other belief you may have. By people judging us and hating us for the things we believe it just makes this world so much worse!!

Re: LSD – People still DO sell their kids though….it's called adoption…just ask Angelina Jolie; buying kids; what do you think adoption IS?

  6. 106

I just don't understand why people give a rats ass about this issue. How do gay folks getting married affect other peoples marriage? Sorry, but I have alot more important things to worry about especially things that affect me personally.

perhaps we shouldnt discriminate against satan? let him live in society making up his own rules according to what suits 'HIM'. This is about discriminating against sin, against whats wrong, contrary to the will and nature of God, discriminating whats harmful and yes it IS harmful as all sin will polute your soul and the souls of those around you.

  11. 111

Can't still believe those idiots waste money in that. Why they don't donate that money for schools, abuse women or other important issues !!!

Another religious group telling everyone how to live—boring!
Mormons don't pay tax do they?- now THAT needs a PropCheapskate invented- 'do unto others as they do unto you'.

  15. 115

Re: Watty – I'm right there with you Watty! When all these people are saying such things like members of the LDS communities are stupid or morons for supporting their beliefs (I too am LDS and don't care who marries who.) The members of the LDS community who are supporting the no on P8 are doing what they believe in. Just like people who wear fur. So back off. We're not the only ones!

  16. 116

Re: kerkieberkie – Wow, you are a really nice person. I wish I knew more people like you! :D

  17. 117

Re: Watty – no one said anyone hated all mormons Watty! GLBT people don't like the people that tell us we are wrong and put their money towards hate and discrimination. 77% of prop 8 funding comes from mormons - that says a lot right there. And you identify as Mormon? When so many of them are trying to stop equality? I think that's pathetic.

  18. 118

Perez- Be serious! Are you really surprised that a CHURCH with as much money as the LDS has would put money towards legislation that supports their values and beliefs. I mean celebrities are donating money against Prop 8 because THAT supports their values. There are literally MILLIONS of active Mormons all over the world, and part of holding a Temple Recommend is to give tithe which literally equates to 10% of your income. So with millions contributing an average of 50 bucks a week to the church…you do the math. Of course they are donating. They have to do something, considering they don't have to contribute to a Presidential Campaign now. Im sure the money that went to Prop 8 was supposed to go towards that.

  19. 119

wow I can already hear this guy talking,
    "A-ba-dee aba-dee a-ba-dee, that's all folks!"

    120

77% of Funds?!!! WOW!. The IRS needs to yank that church's tax exempt status now.

All IRC section 501(c)(3) organizations, including churches and religious organizations, must abide by certain rules:

**their net earnings may not inure to any private shareholder or individual,
**they must not provide a substantial benefit to private interests,
**they must not devote a substantial part of their activities to attempting to influence legislation,
**they must not participate in, or intervene in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for public office, and
**The organization's purposes and activities may not be illegal or violate fundamental public policy.

The Mormons have clearly violated this and that church should pay taxes just like all the rest of us do.

  21. 121

Re: crashr10 – I think all of you that are saying mormons are tax exempt and marry off 12 year olds need to check your facts. its the FLDS church that practices polygamy. NOT LDS!! big difference. we aren't even associated with that religion!! ya close name but different beliefs. I am LDS and I pay taxes on every dollar I work hard for. I'm also 21 years old and still have no plans fro marriage in the near future. before you start hating and judging OPEN YOUR EYES!! there is more to us than you even know!! We are human just like all of you.

  22. me28 says – reply to this

    122

EAZY Perez! I'm LDS so I shouldn't be even on your site daily HAHA, but I have all kinds of gay friends and do NOT support this kind of discrimination… don't be generalizing about the Mormons or that makes you just as bad as the LOSERS that are in favor of banning gay marriages! Just my own Mormon perspective!

  23. 123

Re: Gen – The church is not giving its money to this. Individual donors are, and the fact that 77% of them are mormon doesn't mean the church is pushing it on them. we are not forced to believe this religion just like any other religion thats out there. what people do with their money is their choice. what people believe is right is also their choice.

  24. 124

I am not opening my door to those fuckers ever again. I encourage everybody to sabotage them! And poor of the first cute one that shows signs of gayness cause I am going to fuck even his ears, video tape it and publish it in xtube with a Mormon label.

  25. 125

makes sense. mormons have nothing better to do with the money they earn from scamming people into buying their stupid books.

  26. 126

    FUCK THAT'S FROGGER!

  27. 127

Re: JoDanGiRl – I agree with you! Plus, there's a whole site by mormons who are AGAINST prop 8…for some reason Perez isn't allowing me to submit my comment with the address.
For anyone who wants proof that not all mormons are evil, go to mormonsformarriage dot com! (I spelled out dot cuz I think Perez is filtering comments that post links to other sites)

Perez, i love you. But you make me laugh sometimes! The LDS church is based on family, and that MAN & WOMAN get married in the temple .. its just the way it is. So GET OVER IT ALREADY!!

  29. abbyq says – reply to this

    129

You have no idea, as a Mormon myself, how angry this news makes me. I go to BYU and all I hear all day long is "support prop 8". They have actually asked all Calif. students in my out-of-state school to volunteer 13 hrs of their time to call California residents! It's ridiculous! I'm so sick of being forced to take THEIR side when I don't agree, they're making me take a position. Of all people, who introduced polygamy to this country and even though they don't practice anymore, they wanted to be accepted for that! It's such BS! And the feelings they are creating between mormons and people not of the same religion is just sad.

  30. 130

ew. Supporting hate! what's next a homosexual holocaust? this is OBSURD! The constitution was written as a way to escape persecution and to live your life away from the tyrannical rein of the government (or monarchy in the original sense). And no one likes having someone ELSE'S beliefs shoved down their throats. I NEEEEEEVER answer the door for Mormons or Jehovah's witnesses. PISS OFF!!!!

  31. 131

Fucking Mormons need to stay out of other people's bedrooms. I hate those assholes.

  32. 132

    Re: drioux
Um mormons haven't practiced polygamy since 1890. which is around the same time that the U.S. outlawed polygamy. mormons weren't the only ones who practiced polygamy and only about a small portion of the church practiced it. but obviously you would rather just say f**k them instead of getting your facts straight.

  33. 133

Okay all of you who are saying all this shit about mormons and don't even know anything!! They do not believe in polygamy! not everyone is supporting banning gay marriage… so before you go and talk shit and say that they are discriminating against gay people… stop discriminating against Mormons! fuckers

  34. 134

    FUCKING STUPID ASSED CULT MORMONS!!!

  35. 135

That guy is a Mormon? Shocking.

  36. 136

Obviously, there's something wrong with a number (NOT ALL) of LDS members:

"Utah leads the nation in suicides among men aged 15 to 24.

Young women are not immune. In fact, females attempt suicide three times as often as males.

Utah residents currently use more antidepressant drugs, notably Prozac® than the residents of any other US state.

Judd said recent surveys show that some LDS women report higher incidences of depression than women outside the church."

I just moved to Utah and never hear anyone talking about any problems…it's always "HAPPY VALLEY." It's just "TABOO VALLEY" where no one talks about anything THEY assume is negative, especially being gay.

Taken from Deseret News articles, for those of you who want to question it. I know where you live, because unfortunately, I moved here too. Beautiful setting, beautiful people, difficult personalities.

  37. 137

Morman's are crazy I'm not surprised!!!!

  38. 138

This guy's nose looks like he has a big chunk missing between the nostrils!

  39. 139

Re: JoDanGiRl – The tax-exempt status does not mean the LDS members don't pay taxes it means the church, as an organization doesn't pay taxes. No one was suggesting you didn't pay taxes, friend. But thanks for letting us know you do.

  41. 141

That Dude (?) is totally setting off my gaydar…LOL

  42. 142

IT FIGURES!! NO ON 8 NO ON 8 NO ON 8!!!!! everyone tries to say that want world peace and equality and say they feel bad for the racist days with the whites against blacks and against the discrimination of the hallocaust. well RIGHT NOW is their chance to prove it, but at the same time mormons and a ton others are voting yes on 8. that just doesnt make sense to me. actually it does, i used to be BEST EFFING FRIENDS FOR 6 YEARS with a mormon girl. she has changed now, shes controlling and annoying and very immature. i stopped talking to her one day. her family and church really are a cult, i really think that, her church is CONTROLLING and weird. they all are VERY judgmental and try to act like everything is hunky dorey but when they get behind closed doors, they gossip and talk sh!t more than the rest of us. they have the dumbest "rules". it makes me so annoyed that they controll these people from birth. a lot of mormons talk crap about their "religion" but dont do anything about it and stay with them. well you know what, i dont feel bad anymore. i used to, but if they know the difference and choose not to do anything then who cares. mormons live in their own world. they are soo effing obsessed!!! and annoying!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  43. 143

Re: kerkieberkie – well said. but, keeping state and religion seperate, everyone has to consider the fact that not EVERYONE considers marriage a religious bond. to some it is a romantic commitment. people who don't believe in god get married, people consistantly marry outside their faith.
what someone interprets the bible or religious teachings to say or mean should not…CANNOT effect the constitution, the law or any legal institution.

IF you are a follower of a specific religion, and that religion doesn't condone gay marriage, you need to take it up with your church leaders. meanwhile, don't deny others their LEGAL rights.

  44. 144

Pleazzzeee! All these haters need to mind their own buzinezz and stop trying to tell people what is right and wrong and how we should all live our lives! I don't knock their religon, but they need to stop showing up on my doorstep once a month preaching to me and trying to convince me to read their book! I say it doesn't matter if you are a guy/ girl couple, girl/girl couple, or guy/guy couple. If two people regardless of their sex can commit and make their relationship work together and stay together, then who cares! It is no ones buzinezz except for the two people involved!!!xo.

  45. 145

Re: WhiteGirl – who are you to say why people get married???? couples get married all the time without ANY INTENTION

  46. 146

Re: sweetie – sorry, so angry that my fingers stuttered!!! people get married ALL THE TIME with no intention of having children.

keep religion out of it, then all you have left is the hate.

  47. 147

Reading stuff like this pisses me off. The majority of you are misinformed. This is not prop H8TE. Listen, this is by no means discrimination. Voting yes on prop 8 will allow domestic partnerships within same sex relationships. Fair, right? They will be treated equal just like everyone else. What it will prevent is having it taught in our school systems that is an acceptable thing to do. It will have a MAJOR affect in ALL churches. Having the legal system force churches to preform same sex marriages. Placing law before personal morals and god is WRONG. I am mormon and have many gay friends whom I love but this prop is bigger than just letting gays/lesbians able to marry. It will affect all and that is truely tragic. Also, no one is making the mormons donate their time and money towards this cause. They just happen to be an orginization that is passionate about protecting marriage and their families. Something that should be admired and not looked down upon. Perez, you say this is discriminating against gays but you have discriminated against mormons a few times on this site and it is not acceptable. LOVE ONE ANOTHER! VOTE YES ON PROP 8!

  48. 148

Perez Hilton Doesn't Care About DARFUR !!! Ask me why.

  49. 149

Re: smartconservativechick – practicing what they preach is one thing…making OTHERS practice what they preach is another.

  50. 150

Re: cocoacooks – this is a confusing statement…and a moot point. many religions CURRENTLY do not perform marriages outside their religion, or if one is protestant and one is catholic. i believe that might be covered under "freedom of religion" i was a divorced woman, raised a catholic, and unable to get married to my catholic husband because of my divorce. nobody sues the catholic priest over that.

  51. 151

I think that it's rediculous to post something like that, when not all mormons are donating money to it. and really, who cares, people support things that are seemingly rediculous all the times.

    I love MORMONS!

  52. 152

all those homophobes are very well organized, they are donating money and doing promotion of their point of view etc,,
but we the gays, we are too busy wasting money in madonna and all those divas that are doing nothing to support gay rights, we are too busy having a good time that im sure that the homophobes will win this time,, im sure that most of the californian gays will forget that they have to vote

  53. 153

It is a good way to spend their money when the basis of what they believe is that a man & a woman & their family is the core of a society. It isn't hate. They don't discriminate or hate gay or lesbian people. Hate the sin not the sinner. Get your facts straight Perez.

  54. 154

Mormons (of which I was_ went on mish, BYU etc..)
Need to look in the mirror FIRST before preaching morality.
    Joseph Smith MARRIED 34 women!!
Some were as young as 14!!
    That's a PEDOPHILE!
Some were already married, and in SECRET MARRIED Joe on the side!
    WTF???

    How many mormons know this????
    Almost none.
Want to argue about those facts???
First go check the churchs own site
    Familysearch (dot) org.
JS DID MARRY 14 YEAR old children!!

Also see fairlds.com for more on his sleazy ways (Search POLYANDRY)
this is the church's own defense.
    You Suck!

  55. 155

Re: guitarchild – it's normal to the people who are gay.

  56. 156

SO misinformed! I can say I am not apart of this "h8te"… but aren't you just discriminating against us like you don't want to be discriminated against??? Seems a little hypocritical.

  57. 157

This is hilarious. I'm not a Mormon myself, but it seems that for whatever reason they're not allowed to "discriminate" against homosexuals, but the people who post here sure as hell are allowed to discriminate against them.
Guess what, Mario? You live in a free society. People are free to spend their money where they like. I didn't see you crapping on anybody who spent their money on "No on 8" initiatives. That was equally wasteful, no?
Also, why do you insist on calling it "Prop H8". Some people fundamentally disagree with gay marriage. They don't hate homosexuals, they're just not in favour of gay marriage. Live with it. Not everybody views the world like you do. You sound like a kid who was denied dessert and then accused his parents of hating him. People are free to believe whatever they want in a free society. Get over it.

  58. 158

Re: Jenafreaka – Feel very sorry for you all…..

  59. 159

Re: Gen – Revoke Jeremiah Wrights' tax status too - while we are at it!

  60. 160

Re: Boo Poo – i only joined to say im starting to get really mad that everyone is putting blame on Christians.. um hello theyre VERY FEW religions that open accept homosexuals 100%!

Islam: Unlike most of the religion, Islam is very clear on the issue of homosexuality. According to Islam belief, homosexuality is one of the most profound sins. Islam believes that homosexuality is the byproduct of the environments.

  61. 161

You can't take part of what God says and throw the rest out. You either obey God or you don't.

All forms of same sex sex is sin. As Christians, we must do what Jesus did. Jesus preached repentance of sin. Homosexual conduct is sin. All sin is a choice.
Mat 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
When Jesus forgave someone he said "Go and sin no more." (John 5:14, 8:11)

Here is one of the many passages that says homosexual sex is sin.

Romans 1:25Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.
32Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

  62. 162

We see here that homosexual behavior is unnatural and that their affections are called vile, as is said in the book of Judges (Jud 19:22-25) It should be noted that the word translated "unseemly" is to-ay-baw', to-ay-baw'
Feminine active participle of H8581; properly something disgusting (morally), that is, (as noun) an abhorrence; especially idolatry or (concretely) an idol: - abominable (custom, thing), abomination. So we see the apostle Paul called homosexual conduct an abomination, just as the Old Testament does. (Leviticus 18:22-30)

  63. 163

    that boy is creepy looking.

  64. 164

Is that really surprising? They didn't even let black people into their churches until the 80's.

  65. 165

You guys make me laugh. Everyone who says PerezHilton is full of lies, first of all if he doesn't know what he's talking about WHY ARE YOU EVEN ON HERE LOOKING!? I live in Utah and Mormons aren't that bad. They do want to support same sex marriages. But opinions are like ass holes, everybody has one!

  66. 166

GOD NEVER SAID A UNION WAS BETWEEN ONE MAN AND ONE WOMEN!!! Its just how YOU happen to interpret the bible. But I think its all fiction, so there! And fine, if you don't believe in it…but why do your beliefs have to be the end all and how is it REALLY going to affect you if gays can marry? Its between THEM and why the hell you think YOU have the right to tell them how to live their lives is beyond me. I'm not gay, but I think if they want to get married, they will be just as successful at it as heterosexual people and that rate is pretty damn low anyway. How about you QUIT WASTING YOUR TIME TRYING TO TELL GAYS HOW TO LIVE AND START TELLING HETEROSEXUAL PEOPLE TO STOP BEING SO SELFISH AND WORK ON THEIR MARRIAGES INSTEAD OF GETTING A DIVORCE EVERY TIME THE WIND BLOWS! What ever happened to judge not, less you'll be judged. I think people who are so close minded are the ones GOING TO HELL! People who love EVERYONE are the ones who will live in eternity.

  67. 167

There are tons of mormons who do not believe in this whole "Yes on 8" thing. They protested in Salt Lake and took signed petitions stating the money is being wasted on these ads; money that could be use to better the church.

I'm mormon and I am for gay marriage. So are most of my mormon friends. Don't classify all mormons based on the actions of some. Even the most hardcore fundamental mormons have those who think it's everyone's right to be happy, gay or straight.

When you classify mormons all as homophobes you are no better than people who stereotype all gay people. Come on Perez, look into the issue and see how many care.

PS - I'd have been there to march in SLC but I live over 1000 miles away. You can be someone who believes in god and be pro-gay.

    Shocking - I know.

  68. 168

That money comes from a relatively small group of very wealthy Mormons. It's not from the Church itself.
There's a lot of us out here who think Prop 8 is a travesty. If I lived in CA I'd be voting NO!!!

  69. 169

    Re: cocoacooks
For real? I know so many people who won't even have the Proclamation on the Family in their house for that very reason. Did I forget to mention they're active members of the church?

  70. 170

Fuck Religion!! If there were no organized religions, this would be a war free world. ALL RELIGIONS ARE USELESS!

  71. 171

I only had time to scan the comments, sorry if I repeat.

If the Mormon Church continues to use it's money for political and social reform, I think they should have to pay taxes on it like everyone else. Famous people are spending money they worked for and paid taxes on to stop this.

To the people suggesting I look at this issue from the churches point of view: I am a human being and born of this country, so I want equal rights. I don't care if a religion will not marry me to another man. I want my FEDERAL rights… not anyones RELIGIOUS rights. Separation between Church and State… not a book of fiction to dictate me life.

  72. 172

Re: drioux – You are excommunicated from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, nicknamed Mormons, if you have more than one spouse. FYI.

  73. 173

Re: cocoacooks – Sorry, I got a little worked up and reacted harshly. We aren't all fans of the Proclamation and the attitude amongst many church members about "the gays" and I dislike being lumped with those who behave that way. We are, however, among the last group that it's acceptable to openly mock, and I respect that you're stepping up for the right to believe as you wish.
Everybody else, Just like there's more than one type of gay, there's more than one type of Mormon. Way to take the easy way out and paint with such a broad brush!
And polygamy hasn't been in OUR church for over a hundred years, a little long to carry that ignorance around don't ya think? Discrimination and hate is only okay if someone doesn't agree with YOU? You're part of the problem, not the solution.

  74. 174

    Re: njpaul0129
    Apparently god is a bigot.

  75. 175

I think its so ridiculous for all the people to sit here and tell mormons not to discriminate and then in the same comment call us morons and say we are forcing our religion on others. The people who are giving to this are simply very passionate about the things they believe. and i'm sorry but if your all for gay rights then why are you not all for lds people having the right to practice what they believe. seems pretty hypocritical to me! I'm pretty sure there are other oragnizations out there that give funding for certain things that believe deeply in but nobody has trash talked them over what they believe. so why do the mormon people not have the same rights?

  76. 176

Re: UCSBcutie – A Mormon will give you a Book of Mormon for free.

  77. 177

    Re: nswider
People are pissed at them because they are using their money to strip people in other states of their rights, dummy. This wouldn't be such a big issue if 77% of the funding hadn't come from these hateful assholes. Did you even read the article?

  78. 178

go die , pig boy .

  79. 179

I am a proud member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (aka Mormons). Please get your facts straight before you go discriminating and making generalizations. There is a great site, mormon.org, where you can learn about our basic beliefs.
It breaks my heart that Perez is all about "equality" and "tolerance"….but when it comes down to it he is promoting hate against others.
The church itself is not donating money to Yes on 8. Members, of their own free will, are donating because they believe marriage is between a man and a woman.
Under California Family Code Section 297.5, members of domestic partnerships have the same rights and privileges that married couples do. So the real issue here is changing the definition of marriage. It is not about hate. It is about protecting the institution of marriage.
Please become educated before you spread misinformed generalizations around.
    Yes on 8!

Re: Karabizera – YOU ROCK, Karabizera! I couldn't have said it better myself.

  81. 181

What really cracks me up is how easily manipulated so many of you are by the phrase "77% of funding for Prop H8te comes from Mormons"
That doesn't mean 77% of Mormons are anti gay marriage. I'm mormon and so is my husband. We are all for gay marriage. In fact most of my mormon aquaintances support gay marriage. Some members of the church do not support gay marriage which a personal choice, just as it is my personal choice to support it. And by the way, I was 23 when I got married and I am the only wife to my husband. I can cut my hair, wear lots of make up and have a little or as many children as I like thank you!

  82. 182

with the bad rap mormons get you'd think some of them would know what discrimination feels like…they're not obligated to…but I'm just sayin…

  83. 183

  87. 187

so sad that they also make our delicious in-n-out burgers…boo prop H8!!

  88. 188

I am not against same sex marriage at all and I truly believe in family no matter the sex of the adults. I also believe that two men or two women can raise a child it is more of team work than gender. HOWEVER, with any prop, it leaves open this big GREY area that makes it fail. This one to me is not that churches could be sued for discrimination or what it would cost… yadayada.
    .
    .
MY ISSUE is children. If same sex couples are allowed to wed what will be the requirements for teaching children?? What about sex ed to 12 year olds, how do you teach safe sex? Is their even a safe way NOW for same sex couples? When I was growing up it was always watch out for AIDS, use a condom, practice abstinence. Now what will we teach?
    .
    .
I have a child and he is confused enough as it is. I want equality for everyone but is there a way to do it and still protect our children?

  89. 189

The guy in the picture looks gay…
Ironically enough, one of my closest friends is gay. He's a Mormon.

  90. 190

As a mormon, this disgusts me, and I hate that I get lumped in with the majority of those who are fighting proposition 8. I totally agree that money should be better spent on things that are much MUCH more important, and to be a part of a religion that is doing something like this is very disheartening, to say the least.

  91. 191

OMG lol ugliest guy ever, is he Posh's secret son? look at that pig nose!! O_o oh my…

  92. 192

I am a mormon and I do not agree with what Proposition 8 is trying to do.

  93. 193

I was wondering who that ugly ass clown was then scrolled down and saw him holding the book of mormon! not surprised!

  94. 194

  95. 195

I support gay marraige and human rights…
but you are being a total HYPOCRITE….
    you are discriminating right back,
    saying all mormons are hateful
    It's worng to discriminate….
You'd think you would know that by now

  96. 196

WILL YOU PUHLEEZE LOOK AT THIS KIDS NOSE??????? IT LOOKS LIKE AN ASS! I DON'T HATE ALL MORMONS, BUT FIND SOMETHING ELSE TO GET ALL WORKED UP ABOUT WILL YA? WHY DO THEY GIVE A SHIT WHO SOMEONE ELSE LOVES?????? RIDICULOUS!! AND, ASS-NOSE BOY NEEDS PLASTIC SURGERY.

The Mormon prophet asked the church to fight against prop 8. Although I was born and baptized Mormon (and for many years have not been) and my family still is. It is hard to understand why so many of them are against the prop. The only place where I'm allowed to hang up my own "No on Prop 8" Signs are in my room and on my car. I was not "allowed" to place them on the windows, even though my mom is against prop 8 as well. It's so hard to figure out why my siblings cannot accept homosexuality. I get so frustrated being at home and being around them. I even asked my sister if she would love me, if she would want me to get married if I were gay and she basically told me that she would still love me but she wouldn't want me to get married. I just don't understand that. She feels like homosexuals only want to have sex, that that is their only reason for being "the way they are." It is gross and I am sad that they feel that way. I just hope that others in California can change their minds and see that everyone deserves the same rights and that it is time for change.

  99. 199

And by pointing this out, who is promoting h8te now?

    fucking hypocrite.

Re: WhiteGirl – If couples get married becauset hey love each other, how does that argument go against gays again? Newsflash, they want to marry for the same reason. As far as people getting married to have kids, lots of straight couples decide not to have kids, old people get married, and there are people with fertility problems who are married. So your point is…
