Sarah Palin has been reluctant to discuss the $150,000 spent on her wardrobe by the McCain campaign, after the news broke last week.
But, leave it up to Elisabeth Hasselbeck to talk about it!
When will Elizabitch learn that idiots shouldn't speak out in public?
Sunday, at a rally in the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimee, Florida, the possible soon-to-be former View host introduced Palin.
And, in her introduction, she took it upon herself to discuss things the Republican party has decided to stay quiet about.
Hasselbeck said, "Instead of the issues, they are focused, fixated, on her wardrobe. Now, with everything going on in the world it seems a bit odd. But let me tell you, this is deliberately sexist."
Sorry, how is this sexist?????
If Michelle Obama spent over $100k, it would make national news.
Would that be racist????
But, more importantly, if John McCain or Barack Obama spent $150,000 on suits and ties etc, you better believe it would cause headlines too!

Palin said, "This whole thing with the wardrobe, you know I have tried to just ignore it because it is so ridiculous, but I am glad now that Elisabeth brought it up, cause it gives me an opportunity without the filter of the media to get to tell you the whole clothes thing."

She sais, "Those clothes, they are not my property. Just like the lighting and the staging and everything else that the RNC purchased, I'm not taking them with me. I am back to wearing my own clothes from my favorite consignment shop in Anchorage, Alaska."
And then said, "You'd think — not that I would even have to address the issue because, as Elisabeth is suggesting, the double standard here it's — gosh, we don't even want to waste our time."

I voted Obama, but I do have to say that there is a lot of money spent on stupid things when it comes to politics for anyone running. So, singling out Palin is pretty ridiculous. If people want to donate money so that their candidate looks good, physical appearance wise, that's their perogative. I'm not sure that it is sexist, but I do think it's ridiculous to keep dwelling on it. I thought the same thing about the John Edward's haircut scandal. There are more important things that we should be focusing on this close to the election.
I also think that people who didn't donate any money to the RNC really don't have a reason to be upset about this one way or the other. I know that I could have cared less about Edward's $300 haircuts b/c not a dime of my money was being spent there. Even if it had, I personally wouldn't have a problem with it b/c I feel it's all part of maintaining the image of the candidate.

As much as I "despise" Palin I won't make this a "Palin" issue. It's a repub party issue. Spendging that much money on her clothes and makeup to try to "sell" her to the public is an outright abuse of donations. This is in no way sexist at all. People donated their money to help the repubs pay for their campain and advertising, not to dress up that hick and try to make her pretty.

It's not even the fact that they wasted the money, it's the fact that they may be in VIOLATION OF THE MCCAIN-FEINGOLD LAW that prohibits any committee (the RNC) or campaign from spending money on clothing or other personal items. So if she is not taking them with her then where are they going? If the republican party wanted to donate $150,000 to put clothes on the backs of our own citizens who are less fortunate then I could respect that and if they plan to donate those clothes after she is done with them then it would have been in her best interest to add that to her lame ass attempt at an excuse for spending such a god awful amount of money on her warbrobe. Considering the state that our economy is in, I wouldnt be happy about any candidate spending that much money on their clothes. It just so happens it turned out to be a candidate I already dont respect so that just further confirmed my feelings about her. She said herself it is all part of their "staging". Well excuse me if I would prefer that the candidates running to be the leaders of our government didnt need $150,000 worth of "staging" to make them presentable.
