Self-proclaimed greatest rapper alive, Lil’ Wayne, became audience-proclaimed most bullshit rapper alive when he stood up 8,000 fans Sunday night at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, NY.
After finding the sound system not up to his standards, Lil’ Wayne excused himself from the show, along with co-headliner Piles. Fans were promised a refund, but what was supposed to be one of the biggest weekends in hip-hop ended up just leaving a bad taste in everyone’s mouth.
What a Lil’ Diva!
Fellow Dirty South rapper Ludacris came to the show’s rescue as best he could, anchoring a fair amount of the audience to the venue despite the “bad sound system.” His set was reportedly smooth and professional, proving that somone who isn’t the world’s greatest can overcome subpar equipment.
(In case you were wondering, Eminem is supposedly the world’s greatest rapper alive.)
Well, at the very least, fans were treated to a free really excellent Ludacris concert? That’s not a bad consolation prize, right?
