The New and "Improved" Pepsi

We don't know what to make of this.
For the fifth time in two decades, Pepsi has unveiled a new logo which should hit stores early next year. And along with Pepsi's transformation, Sierra Mist and Mountain Dew have also gotten a new look.
What do U think of the makeovers???

Several things come to mind regarding this:
– stripped down bare bones bland
– too "high brow" for the blue collar crowd buying it
– student project?

yuck! for some reason this looks like the logo of something to do with agriculture. this is too overdone and pepsi if you are reading this, a revamp of your logo does not make pepsi products any more desireable to you. fire the person who came up with these ideas and fire the person who ok'd them.

I like the minimalist look-makes Coke's logos look overdone. And I'm a Coke fan!

so basically this is the equivalent of madonna's goth, stick straight hair phase. not liking it, pepsi. you probably should have just improved the pepsi points program, the "free stuff" look was much more attractive.
I like it. It is simple looking, which suits me just fine. It isn't like the label is going to make a difference in my choice to choose Pepsi or not.

I remember when they used to advertise soda on the television. Now they don't- except at Christmas with Coke and those polar bears, which are cute!

It's very futuristic. The "Mist" in Sierra Mist really looks like mist!

Enh - not to sure I like the new designs. It looks like they're bringing back the designs from the 70s. I like the current designs better but as long as they don't change the taste of the pop, I am cool. Pepsi rocks! I PepsiCo products better than Coke shit.

I'm a design student and I've noticed a flurry of activity in re-branding recently. Quite honestly not many companies are successful when they re-brand especially if its as drastic as Pepsi has gone. I do not see good things in their future.
