Re: Shastamagic – I totally agree. My neighbors are perfectly capable of working but all the are doing is teaching their children that they don't have to work to survive.

Re: kellbelle – The reason I didn't vote for Obama has nothing to do with me "not liking him"; it's not a popularity contest. I'm not a racist either; so guess I shot holes all up in your logic. He's simply not qualified, he was terrible for Illinois and is promising the U.S. a fairy tale.

I throw the same question back to you. If McCain supporters love America so much why do they want to reform it? Also, when did McCain make reform a platform of his? Let's see maybe, when he tried to hijack the change the express. Mavericks are cattle …seriously though McCain/ Palin say they want to go to Washington to "shake things up" How do they plan to Shake things up? Why they want to go there to innititiate……… CHANGE! Look up the definition of REFORM it means CHANGE. Dems say bailout, Repubs say Rescue package either way it goes guess what, it was a HANDOUT. Let's keep it simple people and not get lost in a smoke of BS.

  6. 406

This man is Hope once again… Thank you for being. He is not just our answer to everything, but with him we will help us help ourselves

Re: uraPIGperez – "You moron, people on welfare are sick, elderly and handicapped." …..Do you really think that those are the only people on welfare??????? You are so wrong. Social services over the past 70 has created a "give me give me class" of people. There are so many government hand outs available and there are people who know these programs and use them, even though they do not need them. I see it everyday at work. Housing, food, medical, school lunch, bill assistance, crazy pay, social security, adoption pay, and these are only a few. Did you know that you an get disability pay for being a drunk? I didn't know that until I saw it. Do you think it is okay for the government to pay for a drunk's booze? I don't! And think of all the people on government pay who have cell phones….that one gets me every time I see it! By the way…..what have you done today to make this country a better place?

  8. 408

Re: Coach K – You said it! Obama doesn't RUN Chicago…..he hasn't run anything!!! Palin has and she's done a very good job of it too! Look up her record. She has way more experience and is waaay more qualified than B.O. Can you list anything he has specifically accomplished in his state?

  9. 409

Re: uraPIGperez – I have honestly researched Obama and his accomplishments and I have not seen one! Can you inform me of anything that he has done that has changed the lives of those he represents?

Re: shamms – mccain/palin is the intelligent choice? palin can't even complete a sentence. when palin and mccain are together, you can see him thinking "please don't say something stupid." there are a lot of similarities between the way palin answers questions and the way the girl from south carolina did in the miss teen usa 2007 pageant. hmmm… why is that???

  11. 411

Re: MINXLIVES – the difference as i see it is that mccain want to change washington….obama wants to change america….he says it pointblank….major difference in those philosophies

  12. 412

    Re: Shastamagic
    Post 408
Urapig is a Canadian and female. SHe's brash, to the point and doesn't mince words.
As for welfare recipients Look up Bill Clinton;s Welfare to work (welfare reform act) The fact is no one can just sit on their ass and collect a check. Deadlines are now in place w/ strict requirements for welfare recipients. You know what's also ashocking statistic, the amount of VETS that live on welfare Despite the GI BILL and Veterans healthcare (which is also crap).

  13. 413

I do feel bad for these families shown on B.O.'s commercial but did anybody notice the overweight woman with 12 ppl living in her house? Obviously they're all getting enough food. Heck, she has enough to get her nails done, did u see that? And the other woman boohing about not enough snacks in her full fridge. WTF? Snacks? Um I think they can do without that. And her kids are in the football team…um it takes money to sign up and pay for uniforms etc. What a farce the whole 27 min. was. And if these ppl were so hard up, and I know times are tough believe me, there is welfare, food stamps, wic, chips, medicaid, etc. that can help them out for a while.

  14. 414

Re: Sweetmomma – Come on tell the truth, is he shady because he's black? Out of McCain and him who's the most shady? McCain physically looks like a creepy old man. He apparently divulged secrets to stay alive when he was captured. Which is against the law during a time of war!!!!! Other people where captured too, where are they? Why did he stand out? Because of his bravery? Please, he took advantage of the press they created for him because of his family miliary background and made himself out the be the sole hero!!! That's freakin' Shady!!!!!
The he comes home and he leaves his crippled wife for a much younger, hotter and richer girl. Had countless of affairs. Paid his ex wife to shut up. Contrast this with Barack and tell me who's the shady one?

  15. 415

Re: irisheyes07 – The problem with redistribution of wealth is that it gives money to people who do not work for it. We have had social services in our country for over 70 years and all it has done has created a culture of laziness and entitlement. Our governemnt knows that it is easier to control uneducated people who rely on the government than it is to govern educated self reliant people,

  16. 416

YES WE CAN! ANY IDIOT THAT FEELS THAT THEY SHOULD VOTE FOR MCCAINT JUST BECAUSE THEY "DONT LIKE OBAMA" SHOULD GO AHEAD AND DO SO. WE DONT NEED YOUR SUPPORT. GREAT MINDS KNOW THE RIGHT CANDIDATE FOR THE JOB. OBAMA IS THAT PERSON.

  17. 417

Its crazy how people keep trying to simplify "redistribution of wealth." There are thousands of programs run by federal funds. It's not just welfare. I want to believe Obama when he says will reform or cut programs that don't work. It needs to happen and he is capable. The national budget is not "simple economics". It's really complicated and our country needs someone that has the mental capacity understand the dynamic implications of their decisions. We haven't had that in decades!
And for the McCain supporters that make "good money" YOU ARE the crackhead welfare cases that you claim are sucking the life out of our nation. The people that the modern right support are not people who "make good money", they are people who have REAL money. If you make a five figure salary, you can suck a dick as far as McCain and his Mali-beer Barbie wife are concerned. He is just trying to get elected.

And if rich people are so much better with money why are we losing our ass in the stock market? Maybe they reason people get rich or at least middle class has more to do with education?

  18. 418

Re: melbo – I think you're the stupid and blind one. Seriously, you haven't seen any of her speeches or interviews (besides the totally biased Katie Couric?). Open your brain a lil and read everything on all candidates. I think it takes someone with brains to run a state! She obviously has!! Unbelieve how ppl are such morons. Stop repeating what msnbc spits out to you, grow a brain!

  19. 419

Re: Sammy – What do yo want to change???? What is wrong with America that needs to be changed? How are regular people going to change America? Are more people going to start taking responsibility for their actions, are more people going to stop acting a fool in public and return to a level of decorum that is beneficial for all Americans?

  20. 420

Re: mamajud – The difference in the change is similar to putting an addict on methadone and helping an addict get clean. McCain has methadone level solutions. Obama's solutions are on the level of getting clean. Yeah, its alot more painful, it's going to take time, but there are serious fundamental problems in the way our country works that need to be addressed and he is bringing them to the foreground. It is going to be a collaboration of alot of people over a long time but at least we, as citizens, are finally paying attention. Its the first step.

  21. 421

    Re: mamajud
    Post 412
I know your smarter than that. Ur response is a cop out. We need change in America as a SOCIETY especially w/ our relationship to credit &$$ as well understanding we do not exist in a vacuum with the rest of the world uneffected by us and vice versa.
Secondly, We do need change in Washington and that has been Obama's message as well. Change in how washington conducts business, change in our economy , change in healthcare, our infrastructure. So again, there really is no difference and to be fair Obama NEVER ran on Experience He ran and has been running on Change and hope. McCain started his campaign on Experience and when politicians realized no one wanted business as usual Clinton, Hillary and McCain usurped the change message as well. I'm pointing these things out because we have to be fair when discussing things amongst people even if POLITICIANS with personal agendas LIE. No matter who goes to the Whitehouse the people that consistently lose EVERYTIME is "We the People".

  22. 422

Re: GA_Dawgette – You have to be educated!!! To be properly educated you need either money for private schools or a good government funded public school system. If you are poor and uneducated and all of a sudden you are rich, you will spend every penny of it because you won't have the brains to know what to do with it except spend!!!! It's that simple. Being educated will also help you read between the lines and know when someone is bullshitting or manipulating you like the McCain campaign. Also, you would know an honest intelligent men with integrity when you see them, without any influence other than your own judgement. OBAMA 2008!!!!!!!

  23. 423

Re: elysemichelle – My parents both grew up poor and yet went on to do well for themselves because they educated themselves and worked hard. Poor people are poor because of laziness, lack of drive, mismanagement of money, and a failure to educate themselves. Education is the great equalizer and too many choose not take advantage of our FREE educational system here….why???????? Because learning and working is hard and it takes time and effort and there are those who would rather find free money…..government programs, lawsuits, stealing….than working for it. I love your line about taking Poli Sci, I am guessing you are a college student? If so, it is always easier to be idealistic living off of someone else's money.

Re: Shastamagic – American has changed and not for the better. That's the point!!! Obama winning would symbolize the America that was: a place for opportunity, where you can make your dreams happen, a place to evolve and be the best that you can be. You guys have it all twisted, it's really weird! Twilight Zonish, even! I mean, do you really want things to stay the way they are?

  28. 428

Re: GA_Dawgette – You are not that well informed! You've just been influenced by your upbringing. I can't believe you actually went to college and say this things. You obviously don't care to dig deep to find out why poor people would spend money recklessly.

  29. 429

    Re: Shastamagic
    College is free??!

  30. 430

Re: MINXLIVES – You've hit the nail on the head. Only if some of these people with would understand this, they would all be voting for Obama!!!!!

  31. 431

Re: PixTweak – my mom went to public school all her life, never went to college, but is a very intelligent woman… she raised me and my sister as a single mom (my dad was always late with child support checks …like many months late…so she had to learn how to make do without depending on that) and managed to raise us just fine. Now my mom has a very well paying job as an office manager for a large group of doctors and does her job well….she is smart with money because she had to be (to take care of her kids) …on her own…without fancy college and education. We were NEVER on any govt. assisted programs…my mom has admitted to me she wanted bc she didnt think she could do it…but she did… don't play the education card.

    HEY LEONA!!!!
    LOVE the NEW AVATAR!

  33. 433

Re: AMO – Hope you will be able to live with yourself the next 4 years if McCain wins. I will remember your name hopefully we will have a conversation right before you get drafted to war in 2 to 3 years.

  34. 434

Re: Shastamagic – But if public schools are better, the likelihood of those people's kids not having to need wellfare because they are educated enough to go to college of work will be dramatically less.

  35. 435

Re: MINXLIVES – i'm completely serious….it's been his mantra for two years…i have been waiting for his specifics on change……..my problem is he won't own up to any of his basic philosophies and call a spade a spade…………he doesn't know how to stop being a lawyer for a minute…stop parsing his words…i just have no respect for that type of personality…..this is my biggest reason for opting for mccain this time around

  36. 436

Re: MINXLIVES – agreed on that last part…..can we agree on mandating term limits and a third party by 2012?……first steps in turning d.c.around……no matter who is in the white house :)

  37. 437

Re: PixTweak – the dems are the only ones who have considered the draft as a possibility…..stupid scare tactics

  38. 438

Re: Shastamagic – I was with you until you said "lazy". First is lack of education which doesn't allow you to compete, which in turn, lowers self esteem, which in turn get's you depressed, which makes you feel helpless and hopeless and then comes lazy!!!!! Don't try to make it like you are better than everyone! Your parents educated themselves and you and that's why you are not on welfare. Hear what you are saying and stop judging! Education is the key and welfare is good for those moments when you need help. People do abuse it just like Republicans and other ego maniacs have abused power and make the people pay for their mistakes. We end up paying anyway!!! One way is being honest, the other is more deceitful!!!!

  39. 439

Re: mamajud – Are you aware of the condition of the Army? Check into it and decide if it is so improbable. Drafting is alive and well in our nation's living memory.

  40. 440

    Re: mamajud
    Post 436,437
Mama are you serious!!!! Don't have me reach threw this keyboard woman!! LOL!For some reason I thought you have been to both his and McCain's websites! Anyhoo Go to Obama's page click on the issues tab and on the right hand side at the bottom is a 35 page PDF for his blueprint for change It literally address' everything you could think of and then some down to what to do w/ our vets. Every part of scoiety is addressed. I read it over a year ago and again during the primaries. McCain has an issues tab o his site as well but his plans are NOT as detailed as Obama's.
As for the lawyer crack, he's NOT just a lawyer. He's a father, poltiician, professor a person that inspires just as McCain is a father a politician a Vet we can't box these people in to just one stereotype. If you think he comes across as too "lawful" then we can say that McCain comes across as too "hot tempered and war hungry" Neither assessments are accurate. Take them for what they are jack of all trades politicians. I just happen to think Obama has a better strategic approach to solving some of the problems we need to lay the groundwork and address now.
AND YES! DOWN w/ 2 party systems!

  41. 441

Re: GA_Dawgette – Like I said, you can't get past your upbringing. That's why you are missing the point. Your mom had a high school education, there's probably other things in her history that would not allow to bring herself to collect wellfare. A stigma… pride, her race… I don't know her whole history but is evident she was educated enough to do something with her life. She had the tools to educate herself so you are contradicting yourself!!!

  42. 442

Re: PixTweak – so ur saying people who want to make it without assistance are just too prideful.
Does that mean welfare recipients are full of pride and should be respected….BS
my mom wanted to instill values in us to not just sit back and be lazy…but to make something out ouf ourselves…and not let the system take care of us

  43. 443

Re: mamajud – You are kidding yourself if you don't think the Draft will be reinstated under McCain!!! Just looks at McCain, he's the one being deceitful. Look into his beady eyes and tell me you trust him more than Obama!!!!!

  44. 444

    Re: MINXLIVES – #413

Obama has consistently been against welfare reform. I wonder if he will attempt to undo all of Clinton's (and congress') good work in that area…

    If he wins, that is.

  45. 445

That was a half hour of bullshit…if this yahoo gets into office you will all lose your jobs a ger "Barack Bucks" in order to pay for your food. Socalism = Obama.

  46. 446

Re: PixTweak – your right….maybe he will reach across the aisle and get on board Rangel's draft plan…lol

  47. 447

This was awesome I love barack. Everyone go vote immediatelly.
    OBAMA/BIDEN 08!!!!!!!!!

  48. 448

Re: GA_Dawgette – No that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying your are judging everyone from your experience alone and that makes you think you are "better than"! You just don't get it and that's the problem with Republicans. They can't get past themselves!!!! It's really irritating!

  49. 449

    Re: Smirks
    Post 445
Of course he's against welfare reform… the one Bill Clinton put in place is perfect. Whenever any suggestions were made to "tweak" it he said hell no. I agree with that. I think the welfare reform Clinton innititated is the best form of welfare. If it ain't broke….
Ironically, his tax plans mirrors what Clinton had as well before Bush reformed Bills tax plans…. great minds as youknow Think alike!
How have you been? It's finally calmed down somewhat on this site….

  50. 450

Re: MINXLIVES – heehee minxy……..don't hurt me!….i'm not freaking out no matter what happens on tuesday….at this point i am ready for either one of these guys to get the ball rolling on a new chapter
    .
    .
as for the lawyer thing…i don't mean it as a crack….something about what it takes to be a lawyer or get into sales….is just a major turn off to me….we all bring our stupid little mental blocks to the polls…that just happens to be one of mine

  51. 451

    Re: mamajud
    Post 451
Yeah, i'm w/ you there. No matter what we're all up shnit creek come Tuesday/ wednesday. No matter who gets it, there's a shnit ton of things that needs to be untangled and from what i'm seein gon the BBC and throughout the world press… we are not far behind war with Iran, lets pray we can stave that off for a while. Iran borders Iraq, if we can pullout si=uccessfully w/ our puppet govr intact we will be on better footing addressing Iran. Iran will be tricky though b/c between Iraq and Iran your talking about a large majority of Shiite muslims uniting and not only extracting revenge on Sunni Muslims but also successfully pulling off a coup if Iran has anything to say about it.

  52. 452

Re: MINXLIVES – I have been well, thanks. Just busy. You? I am utterly relieved the election will be over in five days (hopefully, lol). I think by this time most folks know who they're voting for, and why. Anyone who claims to be undecided at this point is either uneducated about the issues and/or candidates, or a complete lying attention whore. lol.

  53. 453

Re: irisheyes07 – because it's not the gov'ts place to take money from one person and give it directly to another. Taxes are supposed to be used to fund gov't and not for creation of a permanent welfare state where people expect the gov't to provide everything to them.

    I have electionitis!
Put me out my misery already!! Did you read the Cuban post yet? See you there!!!
I'll tell you one thing No matter who wins I'm making myself scarce Nov.5th I think the "celebration" by either side is going to be the most vicious of all. What a bloodbath! C you on the cuban post!

    loved it

  57. 457

I am so proud of him! He truly is a leader that we, Americans can count and depend on. He is looking out for the people of this nation, not the big-time corporations that are sending there jobs across seas to obtain larger profits. Obama is someone we can trust!! OBAMA 08!!

  58. 458

Re: SheriMoonZombie – I am jewish and voting obama…most jewish people are not voting for mccain for the reason of Israel…the reason is mostly the fact that they are extremely fiscally conservative…

And I just noticed you changed your photo…thank you.

  59. 459

    HE'S AMAZING!!!

  60. 460

    Re: johnniethomas – #459

Hmmm. I would think you would be interested in the video being witheld by the LA Times of Obama at the pro-Palestinian, Jew-hating little gathering in honor of Khalidi. Guess I would be wrong.

  61. 461

hahaha. "i turned to him and said WHOA"-jb

    amazing.

  62. 462

    PLEASE VOTE OBAMA!!!!!

  63. 463

    MIND CONTROL!

  64. 464

Re: PixTweak – Your argument supports the victim complex. Many people have had the will and desire to better themselves who have grown up in less than desirable circumstances. By saying that someone is unable to transcend there socioeconomic upbringing to go on a lead successful lives is not helping anyone. I am not sure where you are from, but I am from California and I also work in the public schools and if someone wants or needs help….the help is there. I refuse to hear excuses, because excuses are not what made this country great. By you perpetuating the victim/entitlement complex, you give a slew of excuses to someone not to succeed. We need to make the fall hard, so that when the person gets back up, they will never want to fall again. Instead, you want to make it so that a person never has to fall at all. Life is risky, and to take the risk out of life takes the reward out too.

  65. 465

Re: PixTweak – Students only spend about 1/4 of their day, 5 days a week at school. For the public to constantly put the pressure of raising a generation on teachers is unfair and unrealistic. It is the parents job to raise kids, it is the schools job to teach math, English, and science. If a student wants to learn…they will. The problem is that stupid people are making stupid babies. If the parents put no emphasis on learning, then the student too will think negatively about learning. We want to take money out of the schools, but continue giving money to useless parents and at the same time blame the schools for not doing a better job. There are a lot of good teachers out there dealing with bad parents and parenting styles.

  66. 466

Re: …. – Emm….why would I lie about being British? I am. I spent the summer in LA which is what my name is all about but apart from that Im 100% British! I love America though and want to see them lead by someone amazing again like Obama. Do the right thing America :) xx

  67. 467

Yey! I already voted! Hope Obama/Biden wins!!!

  70. 470

    I love it…
he knows there is a great deal on responsability on his shoulders and he will fullfill every promise he is making…
his cause is transcending beyond just winning an election..
he will not let us down

Obama's add is not the most inspirational ad in this election, not by a long shot. Go to youtube and watch "Dear Mr.Obama." It was not funded by McCain, nor is associated with his campaing. It is the work of one man, and it is far more inspirational than anything I've EVER heard Obama say!

  72. 472

Re: Natty ice – ALRIGHT MORON, AND ALL THE OTHER MORONS WHO SEEM TO GET THIS 'SPRAD THE WEALTH' THING ALL WRONG
BASICALLY, FOR THE PAST 8YRS ITS BEEN THE VERY WELL OFF/RICH PEOPLE WHO MAKE OVER $250,000, TO GET TAX BREAKS, WHICH HAS FUCKED THE ECONOMY OBVIOUSLY
WHEN OBAMA IS PRESIDENT, IT WILL BE THE MIDDLE CLASS' TURN TO GET THE BREAK
AND IM GUESSING YOU FALL IN THAT BRACKET, CORRECT?
TO GET THE ECONOMY STRONG, WE NEED A STRONG MIDDLE CLASS!!!!!

  77. 477

    Re: johnnie thomas
Every freakin body know that it's the Republicans that will die for the Jews. The 18 years that I was Republican, people in our church even went to Israel on a yearly basis. It's Republican church people's favorite place in the world. If you think for one minute the Jew's are not voting McCain, you are really stupid. You, personally must have a secret crush on Obama. He is kind of
    cute.

  78. 478

If he would just say he was picking Hilary for something in his cabinet or Bill, then I would vote for him. Alone, I don't trust him and that shady Biden.

  79. 479

Obama is still a mystery to us.
    If he is in with
    the Pakistan's,
    then Israel is
    in trouble. The
    Bible says to protect
    Israel..We have to.

    I LOVE IT.
    I LOVE SARABARACUDA/MCCAIN

  81. 481

    Nothing new or exciting.

  82. 482

I hate it how you always put good stuff on here about Obama, and everything you put on here about McCain is making him look stupid. McCain is what we need for this country. Obama can give a good speech! He knows how to play the crowd, but he's going to fall face first IF he's elected.
    McCain/Palin '08

  83. 483

Obama who? Why was his show about white people? I thought he was part black! The black people are probably pissed off. I would be.

  87. 487

Yes, this election to us is all about pushing the woman race forward, so all the cocks can go blow.

  88. 488

Golly gee, I know that I have to be better to look at than obama.
We Republicans are for the Jews and we know how important the
”'PROMISE LAND”' is to them. We will protect them.
    McCain/Palin
and of course I approve this message. I love America and the Jews.

  89. 489

Can't wait until that girl bitch gets in office. I love bitches more than anything. She is so freaking cute and bold and exciting.

  90. 490

Dumbama's half hour propaganda screed had to be the most worthless thing I have seen on tv yet. 30 minutes to talk and he had NOTHING worthwhile to say! What a dumbass moron!

  91. 491

    Re: Hate Low Class People

Yep - Obama says nothing more poetically than anyone else says nothing. But it's still nothing.

  92. 492

Re: Smirks – i beg to differ….LG is the mistress of everything and nothing….hands down

Re: Shastamagic – When you blatantly malign an excellent philanthropic organization in order to appear better informed than you actually are, that makes you an irresponsible, despicable fuck tard. Live with it.

And for all of you bitching and moaning about distribution of wealth, your logic is beyond idiotic. So let's not bother auditing our government's misspending and try to help people who actually need help, let's just all vote for another McCain backed, 700 billion dollar redistribution of wealth to the financial institutions…yeah, that's brilliant. Where the fuck you think that money came from, faeries?

  95. 495

Obama, you better come down to Earth from Cocaine Planet coz ..
    YOU WILL LOSE.

  96. 496

Re: mamajud – Lol. You might be right! Where is LG… boring without LG here!!!!!

  97. 497

Re: Smirks – wonder what fab freaks she's hobnobbing with tonight

  98. 498

    Re: mamajud – No idea… but I'm sure it's a party I'd love to be at. :)

  99. 499

Re: kellbelle – Are you seriously telling us that someone cannot just disagree with Obama's viewpoints, but must be racist? Wow. Close-minded, much. I'm glad he's got intelligent people like you behind him. Sheep.

  100. 500

Re: nikkiboop – Why do so many liberals claim racism when they ask why people don't agree with Obama? Excuses!!!!!! Sickening.
