McCain Will Electrify You - Literally!

This is somewhat shocking, funny, and yet sad at the same time.
A resident of Chapel Hill, N.C., was very upset that someone kept stealing his McCain-Palin campaign signs from his yard.
So, Shawn Turschak decided to do something about it! And, being an electrical engineer really helped.
Earlier this week, Turschak decided to hook up a third sign to a power source belonging to an electric pet fence. He also hooked up a surveillance camera to catch the thief.
And, to everyone's surprise, this time around it was a 9 year-old boy, with an Obama-Biden sign in his hand, that grabbed the McCain sign and got a jolt of electricity.
The child's father is upset that his son got shocked, so he showed up at Turschak's door along with an Orange County Sheriff.
As for the boy's dad, he says his kid just wanted to see how the sign was put together.
Riiiiiight.
Turschak says the boy intended to swap out the signs.
But, in Turschak's defense, he did put up signs warning of electrical shocks.
No charges are said to be filed and Turschak did remove the electric shockers.
The following day, though, his camera caught another person stealing another McCain-Palin sign off his property!

This stuff happened a lot in my old neighborhood in Florida during the Bush/Kerry race. Stealing signs on both sides, runinng them over.
Now I live in Brooklyn so you down't have lawns, but if you put a McCain sign up in a window, I am sure someone would throw a brick through it.
We did the same thing at the farm! Rednecks were stealing our Obama signs, ’til we "lectified em" with the horse fence!! Heh Heh

Haha, that guy was actually a pretty level-headed, humorous person. He shouldn't be responsible for what happens on his lawn when the person is TRESPASSING.
Those people are probably the only McCain supporters in the entire town of Chapel Hill (I live there); they shouldn't be surprised that someone's stealing their signs, seeing as they're likely now the pariahs of their neighborhood anyway.
That said, I imagine it would be annoying to get your campaign sign stolen. But at least Obama supporters don't try to electrocute people. That is a whole other level of evil.
And, if you're reading this, please go vote early if your state offers it. Go today before you go out bar hopping in your costume. Make democracy count!

Because as annoying as it is, the evil Democrats are perfectly within their rights to express their opinions, just as I am and I would not like it if my McCaine signs were stolen (if I had them displayed in my yard). I think it's really bad if you send your kid to do your dirty work, that kids parents should be ashamed. The evil Democratic homeowner was well within his rights… even though I think they're closed minded brainwashed morons.

My neighbor has had to put plastic sheeting over his McCain sign because of the stupid people who keep defacing it. It is pathetic. It's one thing to be excited for your candidate and ANOTHER to try to bully people or deface their homes and property. It's childish and often illegal. I hope he learned a LESSON. I live in Chapel Hill and I can tell you that it is a DISGUSTINGLY liberal town with zero tolerance for anyone with differing viewpoints. I have no problem with people expressing their opinions even if I don't agree, but the Democrats in this town are all violent and crass. I've been spit at and had things thrown at me just because I have a McCain sticker on my backpack.
I'd estimate that about 90% of the liberals in Chapel Hill know absolutely nothing about Obama or his policies but they're more than willing to key a car or shove someone with a McCain sign if they get a chance. The majority of them are dumb college students with no real understanding of how the world works or old hippies from Carrboro who are counting on Obama's handouts. They have no shame and feel entirely justified in destroying whatever property they can get their hands on. Be glad you don't live here in an election year.

I get a sick feeling in my stomach every time I see a McCain sign. I did, however, see a car with a John Kerry bumper sticker on it the other day and it made me giggle. They obviously had that car at least 4 years.

That's great! There is a guy that lives down the street from me who has had his McCain signs (the BIG 6 foot signs) vandalized about 5 times. He said that he was going to either shock the next bastard that does it or shoot the fucker with a pellet gun. I don't blame him! I totally support the right to put up shocking fences.
