To be fair most artist take their life experiences and write songs about them, personal, romantic and so forth. So what if she is vocally expressing then publicly. She is an artist and must challenge the criteria in which society expects her to follow, which will also help her come into her own and will someday lead to become a well respected icon. I can see where people are getting their first thoughts when they watch this video.

If you listen to the song, the whole point of the song is she hates him because she loves him.
"…and the seventh thing I hate the most that you do, you make me love you."
At the end of the video she turns around and says, "I still hate you."
I think Miley seems like a very mature, interesting girl, none of us obviously know her, I'm not going to judge a celebrity, especially not from a 40 second video…
But when I hear the song she is performing and I hear her say into the mic after it is over, "I still hate you." I think it means she still cares about 'him' and that she still has feelings for him.
