So much has happened since we posted With Every Heartbeat last week.
The album has been out in certain parts of Europe for ages, but With Every Heartbeat was a new song added to her record for the U.K. re-release (out later this year) and the song JUST went to #1 in Great Britain this week.
Things are so hot for her right now, that Robyn is even rumored to be working with Britney!
We can't stop listening to Robyn's record. It's the best pop album in ages!
The Show Me Love singer, who burst onto the global music scene in the '90s, did this album on her own - financing it herself and initially releasing it on her own label.
It kills!

Robyn is AMAZING!! Why is it that people feel the need to hate on the plastic and in the same breath judge someone who is real. There is nothing wrong with her teeth or her looks. And why should her looks even be relevant? When you buy a CD or download music, do you listen to the beat and the words or sit there playing with yourselves to the image of the engineered "artist". The next time you listen to her tracks, if her appearance bothers your puny single minded brains, close your eyes and pay attention to the actual lyrics. It's really an innovative album.The girl doesn't have the most powerful voice but the emotion coming through her voice is powerful and thats kinda the point of a song, isn't it? To make you feel something.The girl worked hard to get her album out there. Least you can do is judge her on the merit of her work!

Yes yes yes, we all know the album was released AGES ago, but it’s just recently been re-released in the UK with additional songs. THAT’s why Robyn is all over the place once again with the same material as 2 years ago. C’mon, give the poor American chaps a break, they’re not exactly served with the best pop music as we are in Sweden. I mean, people over there listen to Ashley Simpson! Can you imagine the cultural drought they have to put up with? They don’t even know that Robyn was still making hits after Show Me Love. Most of them hardly know where Sweden is on a map. “Is that where they make clocks and chocolate and where people live in little red huts in the mountains and yoddle all day?”
So give them some creds when they actually start listening to good music, instead of jumping at their throat about being late at cathing up with the good stuff. It’s not their fault. They live in a country where the mainstream media considers 50 Cent as a “good” MC, the Olsen twins as trend-setters, and “Lindsey is leaving rehab to go to the gym” as worth mentioning in the news…

The funny thing about everyone who's posted here so far is that they fail to realize that both Robyn and Robin S. released songs called "show me love."
That being said, Perez doesn't really "100%" discover anyone, obviously or he'd be an A&R rep. He simply brings music to your attention that you may not have realized was out there. Much like VH1's "You Oughta Know" artists.
People have their reasons for hating and I guess you can't stop them from drunk commenting (or just stupid commenting)
I am sure some label in the States will release Robyn at some point. However, they will probably wait at least 6-8 months first. That way they can be certain that any hype surrounding the project is completely dead. This will insure the single being D.O.A. at radio and music video outlets. Mute records did it to Goldfrapp, Vice did that to Annie and I can see the same happening to Robyn.
Enough said about this pretentious, self-obsessed girl already. For people who would like to experience some real, excellent and original Swedish artists I recommend the Backyard Babies, Hellacopter, Sahara Hotnights, Mustasch, and Timbuktu etc. etc.
Sweden has SO MUCH MORE to offer than ABBA, Ace of Base, and fucking Robyn! Too bad that people like Perez only light the spotlight on artists who satisfy his god-aweful taste! she has in fact already worked with britney. she co-wrote the track 'over to you now' that was produced by guy sigsworth and had backing vocals by imogen heap. you should all check it out, cause it's really great!
