Celebrities Are Just Like Us - They Wait In Line Voting Too!

Today's the big day!

But some of us got out there early and waited in line during the weekend.

One Perezcious reader did just that in Miami on Sunday, and was joined by rapper Pharrell, who waited in line for 5 hours to make his voice heard - just like the rest of us!

Don't let long waits discourage you from voting. Vote. Vote. Vote.

Our spywitness says that the N*E*R*D singer was accompanied by his bodyguard, who assisted with the wait by going out and buying Pharrell some Burger King.

Okay, not all of us are taking a bodyguard to accompany us while we vote!

But, hey, voting can sure work up your appetite!

Ddefinitely don't be discouraged by long lines at the polls today. Your vote matters!

It's just like waiting in line to get into the coolest club - the "I voted" club!

If Pharrell can do it, so can you.

Should people be discouraged by reports from Fox News that black panthers are standing in front of the voting doors with billy clubs? How's that for intimidation? They have also made comments that they are "security"…security for Obama? Who are they security for? This is a statement from Fox News: "Reports of problems were widespread, including an incident in Philadelphia involving two Black Panthers blocking and intimidating voters."

Re: dutchletter – I love Perez…but was a little disappointed about how one sided he was….I do understand strong views though…just think this country is so divided by them…I am an independent/centrist myself…but felt Obama was too radical…he seems like a nice enough guy (and I am far from prejudice–believe in equal rights for gays, women, minorities-am married to one)…just the facts didn't add up to me….and I read alot of information…

Re: PattyPat – On some interviews on the Howard Stern show, some people said that Obama's running mate was Sarah Palin. It must be true…it's Sarah Palin and, yes, I do vote. I'm voting for Obama/Palin…

Re: DallasB – I wouldn't be intimidated by anyone, especially in a public place with cameras all around. Now, a back alley is a different story.

Re: mollymouse – people who cast aspersions and resort to using expletives are usually uneducated and misinformed. They use these tactics because they can't defend their position with facts. They lose the debate.

Re: Duckie – If you get this message tomorrow, 11-5 find me in one of these comment pages (I will need to express my opinion on something…this I am sure) as I have a very very important question to ask of you…more like a favor. Hopefully I will hear from you later. :)

It amuses me somewhat that it took Americans something like 2-3 YEARS to prepare for their election…but with us it was called for a new election just 2-3 WEEKS ahead of time and then we voted! :)
