Re: johnny_bell84 – I guess you failed to read anything outside of Obama's camp. The first is a spending freeze overall and a department by department evaluation. That would have saved in the first year alone a projected 100 billion from the freeze itself. It's not a freeze to stop spending as it was kool-aided, it was a freeze against any new spending, or excess spending. Obama portrayed it as he was going to cut it all and stop it all, well obviously that wouldn't be the case or the schools would have shut down.

A rousing speech to be sure but I can't help but think the sacrifice he is referring to all americans making, is a sacrifice of our paychecks via increased taxation. It will be nice to have children in the White House again, though.

Basically, not just the President and VP are changing: he now gets to nominate (Congress has to approve) the secretaries of State, Defense, Treasury, Interior, Agriculture, Commerce, Labor,Health & Human Services, Housing & Urban Development, Transportation, Energy, Education, Veteran's Affairs, Homeland Security and also the Attorney General. So, thank goodness, we not only get rid of Bush & Cheney, we also get rid of a shitload of his brainless, power-crazed cronies.
