I think this is a very wonderful thing that has happened. Obama hit the nail on the head when he implemented the Change campaign. This country needs change for everyone. Regardless of race/creed/religion/preference. That does not matter. Everyone has felt the woes of the Bush admin and it is time for someone with some sense to get in there and turn things around for the better. If MCSAME would have been placed in the chair, then this country would have been 3rd world by spring. So pleaase stop hating on him because he is BLACK. 2 TYPES OF US CITIZENS
What has become more EVIDENT as a result of this election, more than I ever realized, is that there are 2 distinct types of Americans: Inclusive & Exclusive. The inclusive Americans - the Democrats - are the "true" Americans that the country's fore-fathers defined and envisioned.
The Republicans are the Americans that the world both laughs at and disrespects because of their blatant ignorance and obvious lack of education.
I am curious to know how many republicans have been outside the US–perhaps even outside their state? And what is the percentage of republicans that have an undergraduate or graduate degree? or post-graduate degree?
I recall that Obama identified a need for broad scale access to education in the US, and this has never been more evident a requirement than as identified in the negative positings at Perezhilton.com. PerezHilton represents pop-culture today - which both Dems and Repubs read and enjoy - and yet their beliefs and education are so obviously different.
It will take more than one term to educate the "haters". It will likely take another generation or two, until Martin Luther King's vision is more universally realized in the US.
