Middle class families will see their taxes cut – and no family making less than $250,000 will see their taxes increase. The typical middle class family will receive well over $1,000 in tax relief under the Obama plan, and will pay tax rates that are 20% lower than they faced under President Reagan.
Families making more than $250,000 will pay either the same or lower tax rates than they paid in the 1990s. Obama will ask the wealthiest 2% of families to give back a portion of the tax cuts they have received over the past eight years to ensure we are restoring fairness and returning to fiscal responsibility.
Obama’s plan will cut taxes overall, reducing revenues to below the levels that prevailed under Ronald Reagan (less than 18.2 percent of GDP). The Obama tax plan is a net tax cut – his tax relief for middle class families is larger than the revenue raised by his tax changes for families over $250,000.

It started at $250,000… then went to $200,000, then one of the members of his camp went to like $180,000, and then Biden dropped it to $150,000. We will get nothing for free… everyone in this country will have their taxes increased. Like all politicians, he told us what he thought we wanted to hear. I'm S C A R E D that we won't be able to get a new president for 4 MORE YEARS.
Everyone's so ecstatic over the fact that he's made history (I think it's great that an African American's elected and that he's an inspiration… hopefully American will act upon this inspiration), but we don't realize how much experience he doesn't have and probably won't until the next national/world crisis.
As a 14 year old, I'm scared about the future and I think President Obama will get us into even MORE trouble.
I can't change it though so I'm just going to support him and pray to God he makes the right choices.
