McCain has always been a class act. I was very proud when I heard this. My heart broke for him b/c it's so obvious how much he loves America. He would've been a wonderful President. I support Barack though; I'm a good loser. I wish him patience, support and success! Hopefully with his help, our nation will be united.

maybe if he would've spoken that way from the beginning then he would have received more votes. but of course, i believe that he made a very poor decision with Palin, and she is what made him fail because it shows that he doesn't use good judgement. i didn't vote because i don't feel that either one would be a great president, but Obama at least has made clear his plans and seems to me that he will take into account his advisors advice and way his options before making any decisions.
He is a good man just not right for the country right now.

Although I didn't vote for him, we have to respect Obama now as the new president. I hope he can do as well as he speaks and I want to believe that he can.
McCain was very gracious (unfortunately there were idiots in the audience who found it necessary to to boo). I think McCain can continue to do good work as a moderate, bipartisan senator, which is what his record has shown the past years.

As a proud (Caucasian) South African, let me say this. Mr McCain is a phenomenal example of bravery & perseverance, someone that many American & World citizens can look to for inspiration. In my humble opinion, against any other candidate, he would have had this election in the bag.
The reality is this: Great sports people make it look easy…President-Elect Obama had all the moves, he makes politics look easy. I woke up at 3am South African time to watch the results come in. I cried listening to Mr McCain’s concession speech, such dignity, such class…you cannot buy that.
But let me tell you this, when I watched Mr Obama & the future first family take that stage, I felt like I was a part of the history being made. I cried tears of joy, not because one of Africa’s fine son’s has become the first African-American president of the USA, but because the man that is Barack Obama has been chosen, by ordinary people – like me, he’s so deserving & I look forward with hope to a future influenced by the action that he inspires in me.
I feel like I have the power to make a difference, he moves me to take the all important first step, to make a change.

That was the most diplomatic and presidential I have ever seen John McCain behave, and it was wonderful. It was impressive, and seeing him looking like he was crying was moving.
