Ok i'm not a democrat or a republican..but i can tell you this….if mccain DID win.. not ONE democrat would even congratulate mccain. would they say nice things about mccain? no. would they be "united"? no.
that's the difference between the republicans and the democrats. The democrats may have better economic policies, etc…but the republicans have some maturity.
That made me tear up! I may not agree with 90% of the things she says, but I can really respect her for saying that, it was great. As for Joy - let the woman speak! She was trying to be the bigger person & Joy had it bring it back down to the childish bickering level.

no Perez this is NOT shocking at all. Elizabeth is a very elegant and down-to-earth woman, what she said was absolutly beautiful and I expected a response as gracious as this. she has her opinion and it's her right, yet she never ridiculised someone's belief and opinions even tho EVERYONE did it to her. she is an absolute sweet-heart.
This is what is called "a true AMERICAN". I was not an Obama supporter but I am an American and WILL back our elected President.
Wow, if she really means this, I think someone sat her down and screwed her head back on because these are honestly the smartest things I have ever heard her say on the Veiw. Props to her for finally growing up and getting with the program. I can't believe I actually admired her in that 5 to six minutes!!!

Of course she does! Even though she may be a conservative Republican and wanted McCain to win, she's also a staunch American who believes in the country and is not going to be an asshole and not support Obama now that he's been elected. It might suck for her, but I think it'll be interesting times ahead! Can't wait to see his adorable little girls growing up thru the years. Sasha's cute little face makes me smile.
Yes, it probably is shocking to the left that one would behave in a civil manner and acknowledge 1) Obama is the President-elect and 2) the historical precedent of the event.
Isn;t it shocking that we can be civil.

Now just because we acknowledge BO is our new President, does not mean that he will get free reign to run rough shod over the constitution. We will support and criticize as necessary. More IMPORTANTLY, isn't it great that we can have a peaceful transition of power, discuss, debate, and criticize with out the fear of being imprisoned — well today anyway (did I say that?)

Elizabeth did what a majority of Republicans have done. No matter who the president is you support him, maybe not agree with everything, but you support him because you're very proud to be an American at all times. Maybe if liberals had come together and supported Bush instead of saying that he wasn't their president, things would have been different. Everyone is talking about uniting and moving forward now but why couldn't that have been done then? Because liberals didn't want to. Unity is only a good thing when it's convienient for them. After all, as a white girl with a black fiancee, I was told by him that I wouldn't be able to go over to his place if Obama lost because someone would literally kill me all because of my skin color. As I said, uniting is only a good thing when it's convienient for liberals.
