They can make suggestions but it is the House and the Senate who put together bills which have to pass through the House and the Senate and IF it passes then it goes to the President who can either sign it into law or veto it and then it goes back to the House and the Senate where they can attempt to over-ride the veto by a two-thirds vote to pass it and then it becomes a law!
Second of all, the House and the Senate have been controlled for the last two years by the DEMOCRATS!! So why are all of you a**-wipes giving those pukes a free pass? HUH?!! Hello! They are the ones responsible for getting bills introduced. And in 2003 when one of Bush's top economic advisor wanted to investigate he was mocked by both DEMOCRAT BARNEY FRANK AND THE FAR LEFT WING NEWSPAPER THE NY TIMES!!! So Sarah Palin got Africa wrong? Geography is obvioulsy not her strongest subject then. But is that not reflective of the majority of Americans? I can remember the news reporting that over 70% of Americans didn't know where Iraq was even after the war had started and then there is the constant referral to the UK as "England" which is hugely insulting to the millions of scottish, welsh and northern irish citizens that live there. I think that everyone could do with opening up the Atlas books a bit more often and looking at the big wide world out there, don't you?
