California's Still Counting Ballots - Battle Against 8 NOT Over?!

Of the in-person votes cast on election day, the Proposition FOR H8te 'won' by roughly 506,000 votes.
But, on Wednesday, county officials were just beginning to tally at least 1.6 million leftover provisional and mail-in ballots across California.
According to the LA Times, counties have until Dec. 2 to count the votes, according to the secretary of state's office.
Some officials reportedly said they have more uncounted ballots than normal because of a surge in voting.
We're holding out hope.
We know a ton of people who cast absentee ballots and they voted NO to H8te!!!!

Anyway, gay marriage is kind of ridiculous. It has nothing to do with Hate. Think about what marriage is. It is a "Christian Ceremony". Considering the Bible states that a man must not lay in lust with another man, how can you then demand to marry a man in a "Christian Ceremony" in a "Christian Church". By definition, "Christian" means you are a follower of Christ and the Bible, which is "God's word". If you are defying the Bible, then you are defying God, so why would you expect the privileges that flow from Christianity; and why would you want to? This is a giant first step in opening a door that has been too often closed by the current administration. He will not try to "bully" the parties into accepting the notion of "our way or the highway" notion of politics. This year was my first election, and I was so excited that I was able to take part in electing Barack Obama. I also voted NO on Prop 8, and my ballot WAS provisional. I know my vote is only one, but I'm on your side Perez. I'm praying that it WILL NOT pass because EVERYONE is equal, no matter what.

CA already voted on Same Sex Marriage in 2004, it was defeated. The legal system stepped in and over turned it. Now in 2008 the people spoke again, they voted against Same Sex Marriage. Unfortunately, this is a Democratic Country and Majority rules.

I hate how people take the system of "Democracy" for granted. As citizens of this country, We we way too often take for granted the privilege we have to be able vote and determine the choices of this country.
If you don't like how our government works, then do us all a favor and go somewhere you do approve of. Protesting only costs tax payers more money and really gets NOTHING accomplished.

How ironic is it that all the orange dots are around San Fran? I thought that was like Gay Mecca??? I agree with whoever said "let gay people marry, they deserve to be as miserable as the rest of us…" I'm not gay, but I know people are not made from a cookie cutter. You are aware of the rest of the world surrounding us, with varying religions and cultures, who also manage to marry and raise families, outside Christianity?
