Ed Westwick doesn't want to fall into the shadows of gayface Chace Crawford.
Gossip Girl bad boy Ed has just signed a deal to be the new spokeswhore for K-Swiss.
As for the ad concepts, they will include Westwick holding tennis balls and rackets and guitars.
Sounds kind of boring to us!
Westwick better pray he stays on the show for a long time, cuz for some reason we don't think he'll transition smoothly to the big screen.

ed is posh, k-swiss is chavvy…
ed has already been in children of men and son of rambow, which were both very well-recieved by critics, hes slowly breaking into film acting with understated films. he'll do well in film
What are you talking about, Perez? Ed is clearly garnering some of the best press out of that entire cast. He is a wonderful actor. Chuck Bass is definitely the most popular male character. Plus, he's already been in several movies, in which he plays roles very different from Chuck and plays them WELL.
And, yeah. The ads sound boring, but who cares? He's beautiful, and I love the song he is going to be signing in the commercials, so I'm down for it.
By the way, if you even watched the show, you would realize Ed already has more screen time and better story lines that Chace. I'm pretty sure Chace is the one who feels he is walking in his BFF's shadow.
Re: misscoop – TOTALLY, me too! I love the dynamic between him and Blair who is just as hot! Dan is so damn boring and serena talks like she has something in her mouth…Meanwhile Jenny just gets on my damn nerves…

Ed westwick has already been in a movie, Children Of Men, he was Alex.
He has 10x the talent of Chace Crawford.
And hes 134713x sexier.

He's hot. I'd like to see him playing with (his) tennisballs. I'd take him over Chace any day!
1) He's already transitioned to the big screen!
2) Chace is a pretty boy who can't act, Ed has a very different look (which I find VERY attractive), however, the boy can actually deliver a serious line without making me laugh at the attempt.
3) Looks like i'm gonna have to buy a pair of K-Swiss
i love Ed, he's so handsome and is such a sweetheart!
I love the spread he did for cosmo; if he doesn't make it as an actor, he can always be a model instead
