President-elect Obama Makes His First Appointment

Soon-to-be-PRESIDENT Barack Obama isn't messing around.
He's already working hard to get things in order!
It was announced on Thursday that Illinois U.S. Congressman Rahm Emanuel will be the administration's chief of staff.
The LA Times reports that Mr. Emanuel previously served in Bill Clinton's White House and that experience will allow him to guide President-elect Obama on legislative strategy and the workings of the executive branch.
The newly named chief of staff is also known to be tough as nails and a guy who knows how to get shiz done.
Nice.
Interesting note, Rahm was the inspiration for the character Josh Lyman on The West Wing.
And, his brother is Hollywood super agent, Ari Emanuel, who inspired Jeremy Piven's character Ari Gold in Entourage.
Their momma must be so proud of her boys!

this chief of staff is is corrupt. he was on the board of directors for Freddie Mac among other things. obama is no better. his elderly aunt is living in government housing in boston, ma and is here illegally. obama wrote about her in his book but said that the law should be carried out. now he lives in a $1MM+ home but lets the government (welfare/us) keep her up. in addition he has an uncle, whom he visited 2 years ago in africa, that is living off of $24/yr. he only gave 3 to 5% to charity but has millions. however, he preaches about helping neighbors and giving to others and raising our taxes to spread the wealth, but he doesn't. ha! he is a jerk and corrupt! you liberals are so stupid!

I am a registered republican. But, I am also a fan of conspiracy theories. While I do think the Illuminati, Bilderburg, and one world order DO exist - it is important to take a bit of a wait and see attitude. Thinking the worst will happen is simply self-fulfilling. I make close to a half million dollars a year and don't like the idea that under Lenin's (I mean Obama's) tax plan that I will be working my ass off to redistribute the wealth to welfare people, most who are here illegally. I have no problem in paying high taxes, but I want the money to go back to the people who are contributing to society and not the people who are just draining it. I won't give you a history lesson here, but be aware that under Clinton not one of his campaign promises went through (great job with the national healthcare Hill) and while the economy was good then, most economists (including Clinton's own people) now attribute the gains to things that Reagan put in. Obama reminds me a lot of Carter who led us to the highest inflation in history, so hopefully I am wrong there. I think a lot of people voted for Obama for FORWARD change. I for one find it disappointing that he is going to take us a step backwards. He is a very dangerous man and I think people got caught up in the fact that they were going to be part of history and didn't really look at the issues and just how inexperienced Barack really is.

call me crazy but typically when you create a whole campaign based on CHANGE you dont recycle staffers from previous administrations (case in point Emanuel from the Clinton Administration). Still waiting on this whole "Change" thing to happen….

The first thing OBAMA needs to do is PAY HIS CAMPAIGN WORKERS WHO HAD TO DEMAND THEIR MONEY AFTER STANDING IN LINE FOR HOURS!!!! Some of them were paid less than they were supposed to be and others still have to wait after being told "it's in the mail"………….If he can't manage the payroll for his campaign workers how the hell is he gonna manage the country?????!!!!!!
