Mouse Poison: The Economy

The economy has not been nice to Mickey Mouse and crew either.
According to reports, the newest quarterly results were down for Disney.
On Thursday, the company reported a sharp decline in hotel bookings and 'softness' in advertising revenue at its various media networks.
Disney's shares went on to slide 9 percent down through the day, but recovered a bit after the suits said they'd discount stays at Walt Disney World to stimulate bookings in the first half of 2009.
We thought Disney was doing OK!
Maybe they're not counting the loads of film money that the chihuahuas and Zefron just made for the Mouse in those reports?
We hope the shitty economy doesn't get any worse!!!

LOL! if they didn't charge a arm and a leg for a meal and almost a hundred dollars to get in maybe they would do so much better! Last time I went I spent $4.00 on a hamburger, and it was the size of a value meal burger!

You have to take out a loan to pay for a family of 4 to go there…eat crappy over-priced food, stand in long lines, put up with rude staff, hope you can afford some small token to remember your joyous day and wonder how long this will set you back.

THEY SHOULD HAVE FIRED MILEY CYRUS, BUT THEY ARE SO MONEY HUNGRY THEY DON'T GIVE A SHIT WHAT REPUTATION THEY HAVE ANYMORE. THEY HAVE LOST CREDIBILITY WITH A LOT OF PARENTS.
DON'T PRETEND TO BE 'KID FRIENDLY' WITH YOU HAVE HUMAN GARBAGE IN YOUR TV SHOWS AND MOVIES.
Maybe if they didn't charge your first born they would get more business. If they were to charge half of their ticket prices to local residents like myself, prices, local residents would flock and fill the open spaces. Also, we would have extra cash to spend on food and merchandise. Allow only a certain amount of local tickets for any given day to ensure room and they would make a lot of extra cash.

Just looking at amusement tkts today. WAY WAY WAY too expensive. Single-day prices for Disneyland would cost $360 for my family!

Yeah the economy sucks, but I can't help but smile when I hear Disney is hurting. (This is just payback for unleashing Miley Cyrus on the world. LOL!)
I've always despised the "Cult of Disney" and it's devout followers. Phonier than any religion, more revered than any church.
Disney needs to offer discounts if you ever stayed at disneyworld you know that you are packed in like cattle and everything is about making another dollar to disney. Disney is very arrogant about the fact that they do not offer discounts to anyone through travel agents or anything.
