Perez, you're an idiot. Today's OCP's have much lower doses of hormone than they did 20 or 30 years ago, so women really don't gain weight on them anymore. The only reason we still think that is because people are ignorant to the changes. The only hormone-based method of BC that causes significant weight gain is the Depo shot. Some pills even have mild diuretics in them that KEEP you from retaining water and may make you skinnier! READ UP ON IT.

Yes it does. Very few woman don't gain any weight while taking birth control, but MOST WOMEN gain about 5 to 10 lbs. within the first 3 months. Once their body adjusts to the hormone, the weight goes back to normal.
