As we mentioned yesterday, William Balfour, the potential murderer of Jennifer Hudson‘s family, was being held by police in Chicago but it was possible he would be paroled on Monday if he wasn’t charged with the murders.
However, today we find out that Balfour will remain in prison as police continue to investigate the murders.
A brief hearing was held this morning and the Illinois Prisoner Review Board decided that there was sufficient evidence to believe that Balfour had violated his parole in another incident, including being in an area where drugs were being sold.
The board chairman also said that a witness reported seeing Balfour with a gun that matches the description of the .45-caliber used to kill the family.
Don’t forget that Balfour was out on parole for an attempted murder conviction from back in 1999.
Another hearing has been set for December 3rd.
As of today, no one has yet to be charged for the shootings, but officials continue to call Balfour a “person of interest.”
