For some time now, many people have been talking about how Christina Aguilera has been, uhm, "inspired" by Lady Gaga - both visually and sonically.
Xtina's VMA look was pure Gaga and her Genie remake sounds like something from the Just Dance singer's debut album!
But Aguilera hasn't acknowledged the Lady…until now.
In a new interview with the LA Times, Aguilera talks about her career and such, but when asked what she thinks of Lady Gaga, things turn ugly.
What did you say to those on the Internet who are hinting that you borrowed Lady Gaga’s look?
You know, that’s funny that you mention that. This person [Lady Gaga] was just brought to my attention not too long ago. I’m not quite sure who this person is, to be honest. I don’t know if it is a man or a woman. I just wasn’t sure. I really don’t spend any time on the Internet, so I guess I live a little under a rock in that respect.

I like Christina but I think someone with class would have merely indicated, "I did not know who this person was until recently" and left it at that. The comment about Lady Gaga's gender really wasn't necessary and only makes Christina look rude and bitchy.

Lady Gaga is freaking awesome. Christina thinks she is still relevant. She totally isn't. I'm not denying her talent but Gaga is 10x more original than Christina.
Christina might have a great voice, but in all other areas she is clueless. She is always trailing after someone's image, either Britney or Ga-ga. This is not the first time Christina is 'borrowing' someone's look. She's trying to be Madonna in terms of reinvention and just failing.
And as to who Gaga is; she is a girl who is a huge musical talent, she went to college early because of her talent and is writing music for all major artists in the industry, next to writing great dance songs for her own album. Gaga is someone who doesn't only sing, but is able to write music and play instruments. Maybe you should be more respectful of other artists Christina!

The do both look very similar and have similar vocals.
Lady Gaga might be new to people but I think give her time to shine & we might be very impressed.
Most 'new' acts don't end up writing for superstars like Britney or having songs noticeably present in teasers for TV shows.
I'm not sure why they both have to look alike though.
I saw Gaga sporting the look first for which I fault Xtina's stylist.
I think in a catfight it would be close but I'll go with Gaga because I think she's the slightly bigger girl of the two.
