McCain Defends Palin
Filed under: Politik > John McCain > Sarah Palin
Poor John McCain.
It must be tough having to go out and lie to everyone!
Tuesday night, McCain was on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno for his first interview since losing the presidential election, and he had some interesting things to say.
Like the fact that McCain believes Sarah Palin didn't cost him the election.
We agree, she probably didn't cost him the entire election, but she was definitely a reason why some MANY people were hesitant to vote for him!
McCain said, "I'm so proud of her and I'm very grateful she agreed to run with me. She inspired people, she still does. I couldn't be happier with Sarah Palin."
He did add, "I could tell you a lot of things that we may have made mistakes on," but never went on to list them.
Mistake #1: Getting tricked into choosing Sarah Palin for VP.
And in reference to anonymous top officials disclosing Palin's outrageous shopping sprees, McCain said, "I think I have at least a thousand, quote, top advisers. A top adviser said? … I've never even heard of … a top adviser or a high-ranking Republican official."
He didn't directly address the wardrobe issue.
McCain then added about Palin, "The people were very excited and inspired by her. That's what really mattered, I think. She's a great reformer."
And when Leno asked if he would run again in 2012 when he'll be 76, McCain admitted, "I wouldn't think so. We are going to have another generation of leaders come along."

enough, barak won. the wardrobe issue is ridiculous
do all you people keep harping on you because you are afraid of her in the near future.
if you aren't…..let it go already.
I think both McCain and Palin should stop talking to the media and simply continue to do their jobs. I haven't heard a word from Obama or Biden lately.
But I will say that I have a massive amount of respect for John McCain and he gracious and kind he was during his speech after he lost. He declared his alliance with HIS future president, Barack Obama, and insisted that we all do the same. Whether you were for Barack or not, please get over the differences and help us fix this nation!
Most knowledgable political junkies, Republican ones included , now admit that the Palin pick was a disaster for McCain's chances. She's a hill-billy. And, I don't know, but I'm not interested in having a bumpkin in the #2 spot. Too bad McCain can't admit it.
Re: Leona$ Gho$t – SARAH DOES LOVE THE SOUND OF HER OWN VOICE DOESN'T SHE ? YOU KNOW…I THINK SARAH IS THIS GENERATION'S DAN QUAYLE. OL' DAN LOVED THE SOUND OF HIS OWN VOICE TOO….AND HE ACTUALLY BECAME VICE PRESIDENT…HE WAS A REAL REPUBLITURD RISING STAR…JUST LIKE SARAH. LOOK AT HIM NOW….I'LL BET 3/4 OF THE MORONS HERE DON'T EVEN KNOW WHO DAN IS. I'M SURE IN 20 YEARS SARAH WILL HAVE BEEN EQUALLY FORGOTTEN.

BRILLIANT OBSERVATION, OH CHERISHED ONE–BUT I PREDICT SHE WON'T SOON BE FORGOTTEN, THERE WILL BE A SCANDAL OF UNFORETOLD PROPORTIONS AND WHAT'S LEFT OF THE REPUBELICANTS, WILL BE FINISHED OFF BY THIS EPIC SHEBITCH.
.
McCain is the one who chose Palin. He would have us left with HER, as President of the United States, in the event of his demise? What the hell? It just shows how poor his decision making skills really are.
AGAIN, IS THIS A CELEBRITY GOSSIP SITE OR A POLITICAL BASHING OF REPUBS AND A WORSHIP SITE TO THE DEMS? COME ON!!!! LET IT BE!
Re: ilovegossip2 – WELL SAID! i AGREE! BUT THAT IS HOW IT ALWAYS IS….. THEY (liberals) WANT TO PUSH THEIR VIEWS DOWN OUR THROAT BUT SHUT THEIR EARS WHEN WE WANT TO SPEAK…

You're kidding yourself! The democrats could have put Mickey Mouse up there against anybody in the Republican party and they would have won! That's just the reality of the situation! I think it's pretty funny that her inexperience disqualified her from being Vice President when Barack Obama has even less executive experience than she does and he's somehow qualified to be the president??? Like Rudy Guiliani said, "Change is not a destination, just as hope is not a strategy!"
Re: WhowouldJackiedo – How incredibly sexist of you…
Re: Vince will Shamwow your ass – How open minded of you to resort to name calling and childish insults when you disagree with someone!
