Seriously, Elizabitch Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd should try reading some facts before spilling lies from their mouth!!!!!
As we mentioned before, Elizabitch LIED to the entire country when she said that California's Proposition 8, to ban gay marriages, would mean that religious leaders could go to jail for refusing to perform a same sex marriage.
NOT TRUE!
That then caused the "god worshiping" Sherri to make her own comments. She said, "I don't want to know that my pastor — because, you know, the church is preaching against homosexuality, and I don't want to know that my pastor could be jailed."
Well, we guess God doesn't want gay couples that love each other to get married, but he's ok with Sherri sleeping around before getting married right? Oh, and we guess God is ok with Sherri having had abortions in the past as well!
And it seems like Elizabitch and Sherri are still trying to brainwash people into thinking something false about Proposition 8 as they continue to bring up the lie that it affects religious groups.
Oh, and Elizabitch has said many times already that Proposition 8 passed by a majority of 62%. Someone should tell her to fact check. According to the California Secretary of State's office, the prop for hate passed with only 52.3% of the vote.
At least Whoopi pointed out the obvious and said, "It is unfortunate that people used not-honest things to go about it, because if the fear — if people put fear into people and made them believe things that weren't true, that's not how you want somebody to vote. You want them to vote the truth, and you want them to vote their heart."

The Court System will ultimately decide the constitutionality of whether or not it is even "constitutional" to put such a proposition to vote.

Marriage of gays and lesbians is NOT a religious question but a secular one. Religion has NO PLACE in the classroom nor in politics. People should be allowed to marry and divorce whom they like. No church or religious institution would be forced by our gov't to perform ANY ceremony that goes against their beliefs ( again, seperation of church and state) AThiests for example ( most) get married by a judge. The union does not have to be called marriage but it should carry the same rights and securities as marriage does.

I don´t think that never will be a gay wedding in a catholic church and government never could force any church to celebrate a gay wedding, but gay people only need a wedding in city hall that allow them to share their lifes, protect their rights and to be equal before the law like any other heterosexual couple that can love each other, adopt children and in case of death of the couple or divorce don´t get unprotected.

But those people don't reflect the entire gay community. It's people like that who give them a bad image. You can't just think of people in terms of groups, lumping them all into one category. I think allowing proposition eight goes against exactly what america stands for. first of all religion is not suppose to dictait our laws. the definition of marriage that everyone is refering to that they feel shouldnt be changed is one the religion defined. not one that our goverment defined until recently. two people that love eachother should be able to marry why should gay people have less rights than any other citizen they pay the same texes that all of us pay right?. proposition 8 was passed because ppl didnt have their fact straight (no pun intended), and out of fear. at one time it was illegal for black and white ppl to get married and that was another ridiculous decision made because of fear. i say that is should be up to the churches wether they want to marry a gay couple or not. not up to our goverment!
I think it's funny that so few people understood that there would be Federal and Civil consequences should same sex couples be allowed to marry. If same sex unions are recognized as marriages then refusing to perform a marriage on that criteria would then be considered discrimination and yes, the Gay and Lesbian Associations are no strangers to litigation. Some times I think people forget that the Federal Government can jail a physician for refusing to perform an abortion or provide a referral and that California is suing the federal government over the Weldon Amendment. It's almost as though if people pretend Abortion as an issue is settled and the gay question has been answered.

I was wondering, marriage has been between a man and a woman for 100's of years so for the majority of people around the world, marriage by its definition would not include gay couples. I think its a matter of wording. Would a domestic partnership be offensive to the gay community? I believe that any gay couple that would legalize their marriage through a "domestic partnership" is certainly entitled to legal benefits that a married couple enjoys. Now this is a debate I can appreciate. Do you theorize that the damaged receptors are genetic or do you propose they are damaged in utero? I've always believe that homosexuality is a psychological reaction to some kind of traumatic life event that may have occurred at a young age. For female homosexuals perhaps it stems from experiencing some kind of sexual abuse which in turn creates serious trust issues with members of the opposite sex.

Exactly. The dictionary defines marriage as being between a man and a woman. Gays want to redefine that word. The definition of marriage would then have to be changed in the dictionary. I think the intention of The View in selecting Elizabich in the beginning, was that she was high-profile for awhile, because of her stint on Survivor, and at the same time, she was a typical young girl in America, which the viewers would be able to identify with. Agreed. No matter the cause of homosexuality those who embrace it and try to normalize it are essentially trying to normalize a defect. Instead of seeing the aberration for what it really is and working to fix it or change it they just say, "there's nothing wrong" and just ignore the abnormality. From a secular view I'd say homosexuality is psychological. From a spiritual view I'd say sin causes homosexuality and it is a thorn in the flesh to those who are stricken with it. Anytime one asks, "why would someone would choose to be gay?" I answer, "because they are mentally ill and they like the attention they get from "being different". Afterall, gays are very flamboyant and in your face with their perversion so it is clear they are drama queens seeking attention. One could argue that homosexuality is derived from both the sins of lust and rebellion specifically.

I know and love gay/lesbian couples (20-25 years and still counting) who have been together and had more integrity and fidelity in their relationship than most straight couples I know. Prop 8 has passed. If prop 8 lost by 52.3%, you wouldnt be saying that it "only" passed by that margain. The point is that it passed, the people have spoken and the majority of people don't want gay marraige. It's not based on fear, it's based on belief. Americans want a black president, but not gay marraige. That is the opinion of the majority.
