Post Election Day, the folks at the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press surveyed the 'public' and asked them to name their favorite and least favorite campaign journalist or commentator.
Funnily, Bill O'Reilly topped BOTH lists.

He claims to be an Independent, yet bashes Democrats as much as he can. Lou Dobbs is a superb journalist AND an Independent - he'll criticize anyone regardless of affiliation.

This makes perfect sense — he's loud and vitriolic of what he sees as "bad." He has gotten to a point where I can't even watch him to see how the other side thinks — he's just too insane, both intellectually and physically.
I ABSOLUTELY ADORE HIM AND EVERYTHING ABOUT HIM! He is the best commentator on television. He ALWAYS gives both sides and it is wonderful to watch a true debate of the issues and differing opinions.

Bill is the only news personality that asks the hard questions of both sides and prevents their grandstanding. I would say that he is one of the few individuals on TV who does not need a supporting cast to balance out the issues as he is usually somewhere in the middle with what he presents on his show. I am sure that in his personal life he might lean more towards a conservative view (based on his upbringing), but I think it is a true test of being fair and balanced when you are as equally loved as you are hated.

It doesn't matter if people love him or hate him- just that they watch him. Obviously, they do! Personally I can take about 10 minutes of him once in awhile. I really can't stand any of those shows.

It seems indeed that the USA has two kinds of people (to put it very simplified) democrats and republicans. And no matter what: they have to disagree. No matter what a democrat says: according to a republican it is wrong (and they have God on their side of course). And no matter what a republican says (Sarah Palin for instance) according to a democrat it is wrong (and democrats have intelligence at their side of course). And a lot of BLOG, such as this one are either democrat or republican. PEREZHILTON is obviously DEMOCRAT and SCAREDMONKEYS (for instance) is obviously REPUBLICAN. So on this blog the republicans come to disturb everybody, and you democrats can go to SCAREDMONKEYS to disturb everybody there. So that is probably why REPUBLICANS love BILL and DEMOCRATS hate BILL!

I find him offensive, medicore, a liar, idiot, and a hyprocrite. Just because you yell the loudest, and you hate everything, that makes you the most popular? What the hell are people thinking?
He is successful. He is polarizing. Being considered the best and the worst confirms this. His election coverage was not agenda driven (Barry lovers). The same cannot be said for the majority of the other outlets - most notably MSNBC.
