Tomorrow, Saturday, November 15th, all over America and Canada, concerned citizens will be peacefully demonstrating the passing of Prop H8te in California - and similar discriminatory measures in Florida, Arizona and Arkansas.
This is an issue that affects us in EVERY state!
It's about the rights, privileges and protections that come with civil marriage that are currently being denied to gay and lesbian couples. It's about discrimination. And we can't stand for it!
Perez will be joining protestors at the Los Angeles rally.
And hopefully YOU will join your friends, neighbors, coworkers and relatives fighting for equality tomorrow. Stand with us. For what's right!

There was sentence in particular that you wrote that brings up a question. You wrote "This is not hurting anyone or their marriage. Can you please tell me how this would affect anyone in negative way?"
Could you not also use this same line of logic if you were advocating polygamy, marriage between a man and his sister or mother, or marriage between a lady and a dog? Before you dismiss my argument as preposterous, how are any of these possibilities any different if this is line of logic being pursued?

This isn't a religious issue, YOU and the Gay Community are Making it a religious issue, when in fact there are plenty of Athiest who don't aprove of gay Marriage. There are people who just don't like the act of being Gay. Once you make it a religious issue you turn everyone who believes in God against you. There are many Gay's who believe in God and are religious themselves. I'm sure there are gay Mormons. STOP MAKING IT A RELIGIOUS ISSUE and maybe more people will start helping the cause, but when all you do is attack groups of people who believe in God you are turning a HUGE number of people against you. Don't make this an issue of Seperation of Church and State because every state has the right to vote on this issue and going on with this protests is just making people angry. Isn't it interesting to note how quickly various groups have forgotton their own historic struggles? Joe points to the social evolution it took for both Catholics and Mormons to have the acceptance they have in the USA. What's interesting is the hate and vitriol I'm finding on an ostensibly open-minded and progressive website. Isn't that what Perez Hilton is all about (aside from great dish)? The fact is, haters like "arrora" and "acslater4" will continue, and it's a pretty safe bet we won't be seeing a gay president in the white house in our life time.
