According to Variety, The View has finally taken the 'week's most watched show in daytime' crown.
The blabfest averaged 4.7 million viewers for the week ended Sunday.
It scored its biggest aud ever (6.2 million) on November 5th, the Wednesday after the election.
Yeah, everyone wanted to see Elizabitch eat it!
Good luck keeping the momentum post-elections.

My fiance will deny it until he dies BUT he LOVES these chicks. Every day we have off together, I watch this show (mainly because there's nothing else on TV at that time). But he watches along with me and agrees and makes comments during the show. hahahha

I will admit I tuned in once in a while, but it was not because of Elisabeth. I tuned in to see joy behar not letting anyone who did not support her views talk, joy interrupting everyone, being down right rude and rolling her eyes if she though someone was stupid. You hit the nail on the head! While I don't like or agree with EH on almost everything, it's JOY who I cannot stand! She is rude, close-minded, surly, just plain unlikable. The skit on SNL recently had her down pat! Those faces she makes, the looks of disgust and eye-rolling–UGH!! Elizabeth Hasselbeck is the only one on that show with any amount of brains. Walters lost control of this show a long time ago, it started with the babbling bully Rosie (I hate America) O'Donnell. This show sucks big donkey dongs. I have no respect for Walters now. Just another liberal piece of junk that once again, is out of touch. Oh, the "Joy" when they rip this show off the air.

Elisabeth is the only one with half a brain on this show. Barbara has been getting senile for a long time, Whoopie is a wannabe dike, Joy is a fat ass loud mouthed bitch, and Sheri, well I'm not sure she has anything between those ears of hers. I'm done with with all of them.

While it is good to see a show with women's points of view doing so well in the ratings, it seems to me that the dialogue they have is sometimes very nasty and beyond where I would want to go even though my female friends and I have very honest and heart to heart conversations. I sometimes think that Elizabeth is the only women who is feminine at all. I work in banking and finance and still maintain a feminist and feminine demeanor. I do not have be be butch like Whoopi and Joy to make a point. I admire Elizabeth for being the only one on this show who seems true to herself. It often seems as if she has to defend herself against strident, shrill, screeching bullies and it does get tiresome. I have to stop watching when the show gets out of hand and Whoopi becomes as shrill as the old Rosie. Just awful. Where is civility gone to? Still love it that at least a women's show is no. 1.
I'm boycotting the show until Elisabeth offers a retraction for her inaccurate statements. As with news programs, when they give the wrong info (like Elisabeth stating several times for days on end that Prop 8 passed with 62% of the vote) they come out the next day with the corrected version. I do not support hate, and I do not support The View! Boycott the show Perez!
Re: Mergers – I agree, it always leaves me feeling a little frustrated. While I'm no fan of Elizabeth or her views, it seems that she's just surrounded by barely restrained contempt. There's barely respect among the others, none for EH, just a one-up-(wo)manship and a waiting for the other to trip up so they can fall on her like savages. Nobody watches the view to stay informed, idiot; it's entertainment with sporadic pieces of information weaved in. The only reason the ratings were so high on Nov. 5 is because anyone that watches the view on a daily basis wanted to see Elisabitch SUCK IT!
If you watched throughout the election season, you'd know that she was a McCain supporter with only slanderous things to say about Obama. THAT'S why everyone wanted to see her eat her words.

The last time I even attempted to watch the View to find out what all the hype was about I couldn’t even hear the points that any of them wanted to make because none of them know how to shut up and listen. All you hear is a bunch of pissed off women talking at once.
