Victoria's Secret Bras Could Be Hazardous to Your Health

If you've had an allergic reaction to one of your Victoria's Secret bras, it looks like you're not alone!
A number of ladies from several states have filed complaints against the underwear chain for hawking allegedly flawed bras.
In fact, so many women are coming out with complaints that it looks as if Vicky may have a class action lawsuit on its hands.
That sounds expensive!
An attorney for one of the claimants says formaldehyde is making its way into Victoria's Secret bras which could explain the allergic reactions (i.e. welts and rashes) bra wearers have come down with.
Formaldehyde? Really???
Ohio resident Roberta Ritter said in her complaint, "I had the welts … very red, hot to the touch, extremely inflamed, blistery. It itched profusely. I couldn't sleep, waking up itching. I was just utterly sick."
A number of complaints similar to Roberta's have also popped up on the medical self-help site medhelp.org, according to reports.
Victoria's Secret responded through their PR people with this statement, "We are sorry that a small number of people have had an issue and we want to help them determine the cause… Customer safety and satisfaction are always our primary concerns and we take seriously any issues our customers may have with our products."
In regards to the formaldehyde claim, the bra seller said, "We have strict quality controls around our products, and we do not use formaldehyde in our bras."
Crazy stuff!

Yeah, it's like from the bra down is distorted…. Is this a real pic or was it "changed"? I don't know…. Anyway, what I do know is VS bras are too expensive…. and I WOULD NOT buy them…… Have before when I was younger, however, then I grew up and realized that there are more comfortable, fitting bras instead of trying to take my whole wallet when I buy one! lol and that will last longer!…. and without the rash! Maybe that's why the VS cost extra? You paying for the rash?

i used to work at VS and its not the bra.if u buy it off the rack and dont wash it UR GONNA GET SOMETHING. u would be amazed by the people that try on the bras and what we have cought pervs doing with it them. also this pic is two weeks after she gave birth alot of woman cant even look like that years after

I may not be getting rashes from the bras, but the straps always break on me!! Maybe it's just me, because everyone makes these bras out to be great. But for ATLEAST $25 a bra that breaks on me everytime….I'd rather go to Macy's for half the price and twice the strength.
My bras are fine, but more importantly, whats wrong with her stomach? She is looking mighty strange there.
oh my god yes it was the worst, i had to go to the doctor. It was bad.
I've been wearing these bras for years had haven't had a problem thus far….but this does make me a bit nervous to purchase anymore bras from VS in the future..

I actually had a rash after wearing my new Vikki's Bra! Who Knew! I havent heard a thing about this until now…

Always wash your clothes after you buy them! There was an episode of House dealing with some kid wearing jeans right after he bought them and he got really sick. I know it's fictional but still it makes you think.
I used to buy VS bra's until, all of the underwires snaped in half and the elastic wore out after a couple of months. Plus they only make bra's for skinny people with little boobs, who only wear bra's for show, not support.
HMM it sounds like athletes foot just under the breast. Athletes foot can grow in any place on you body as long a its hot, sweaty and moist. or shingles lol just sayin, maybe!!
weird - i've had this rash that started all along where the underwire of my bra was. red blotches. it didn't itch or burn or anything. then it started to spread down my stomach. the doctor thought it was a benign virus but wasn't sure. it went away after about 2 mos on its own. I only wear VS bras… quite a coincidence…
There is one thing ONLY VICTORIAS SECRET bras do that I've noticed. After a while around the under wire, it stenches of sweat even after it's washed and it never goes away, and none of my cheaper bras do that. That place is such a ripoff, but its the only place where I can find a 34DD bra that doesn't look like a mom-bra, but even their cutest bras in that size aren't that amazing. I sorta-but-not miss my c-cup days.

actually, a lot of clothing manufacturers use formaldehyde in its clothing to preserve them and keep them fresh until they hit the shelves. almost every piece of clothing you've ever worn has been subject to some sort of formaldehyde preservation.

I just have a problem with Victoria Secret in general. I've had product issues and when you call and or email them you never get a response. Victoria Secret obviously doesn't give a shit about their costumers and they don't care to make them happy.
Not to mention their prices are ridiculous and there stuff falls apart after a month.
I hope they go out of business!!!
VS bras stretch out and look like shit within a month–I am a 34D and always have problems trying to locate my size in their stores–I won't pay for their overpriced poorly constructed bras anymore–Calvin Klein bras fit MUCH better and last forever. I do like their clothes and PINK line though!

formaldehyde is used to colorfast garments, that means it is used to ensure that the dye stays on the garment and can't be washed off, or rubbed onto anything else. It's not as odd as it sounds that there may have been traces found on the bras. It's actually a good thing that they colorfast.
YES! I was working and felt this burning underneath my boob and when I got home and took off my bra I had this red rash that burned to touch. I had to put a huge band aid on it for a week until it healed. Highly doubt I would ever buy another bra from there again…crazy thing is is that the bra was not under wire too!

SWEEEET considering I'm expecting an order from them in the next day or so…. 6 bras. Can't wait to break out, but at least the girls will look good while doing it hahahahahha.
if it is in fact the 100 ways bra, its off the market and was taken off only months after its original launch date…hmmmmmmmmmmmm…i havent heard any weird complaints at my location about any type of reaction….im sure there may be some truth to the claim, but it seems like many peeps will be jumping the band wagon for a payout….
