It’s all still speculation because both camps still refuse to officially discuss the matter, but the UK’s Guardian, a respectable publication, says that Hillary Clinton is set to accept the Secretary of State position she was allegedly offered by President-Elect Obama.
The only thing both interested parties need to get over is the vetting process. The Obama camp needs to make sure that Hill won’t bring anything to the table that would create a ‘conflict of interest’.
Insiders worry that Hillary’s husband, former president, Bill Clinton, could eff up her bid for the appointment.
His financial and foreign entanglements could turn out to be major ‘conflicts’! Of special interest to the Obama vetting team are the former president’s dealings with foreign governments and pharmaceutical companies.
On Monday it emerged that Democrats “are becoming exasperated” by Billy’s response to requests for information about his finances.
We hope Bill won’t mess it up for Hills!
