If it’s not one thing it’s another.
Prince is being sued by perfume company Revelations to the tune of $100,000 for providing no assistance in promoting a “3121” fragrance which utilized his likeness and the title of his 2006 album.
According to a licensing contract entered into by Revelations, Prince, and Universal Music Publishing Group, Prince would be involved with 2 different fragrances, one that was released last year and another one slated for 2009. In exchange for 50% of the net profits Universal would help secure Prince’s cooperation.
And then the phone went silent.
Revelations claims they’ve been trying to get in touch with someone at Universal since July 2007, to no avail.
Universal Music Publishing Group issued the following statement: “Although we have not seen the complaint, we are familiar with the claims being asserted by Revelations, and they are completely without merit.”
So there you have it!
Let the best bitch win!
