Adrien Brody Has No Sense Of Humor

Despite various awards shows hijinks (a la unexpectedly and quite passionately kissing Halle Barry), Adrien Brody does not have a sense of humor, it seems.
Here's an excerpt from an interview he just did with gay mag The Advocate, in which Brody flatly refuses to answer some silly questions:
Do guys still hit on you?
I guess I'd be disappointed if they didn't.
What if a man had presented you with your Oscar instead of Halle Berry? Were you so wrapped up in the moment that you might've have kissed him too?
That's a pretty silly question. No, obviously not. Part of the excitement was that it was a beautiful woman presenting me with such a beautiful moment in my life.
Is there any actor for whom you would've made an exception?
No.
Let's try another approach: For your next gay role, who'd you choose for your on-screen love interest?
You want me to name an actor? No, I can't answer that question, Brandon. See, you ask me how I deal with rumors, and I also have to deal with not adding fuel to them. Something that would be a completely innocuous comment on my part will be completely taken out of context by the next journalist, so I'd appreciate it if you were understanding about that.

I'm still in a good mood, but I'm also a relatively serious person, so these questions are difficult for me.
So I guess I shouldn't ask if it's true what they say about a man with a prominent nose?

What stupid questions! Firstly, I am not a fan of Adrien B (Because I have never seen any of his movies). Perez I really gave you more credit than that! Knowing he is a straight man, why would this reporter ask such stupid Q's? Adrien is obviously a professional & deserves more respect than to be featured in THAT interview. It's a stereo-typical interview by perhaps a gay reporter & if not, he is conducting the interview that way to entertain the Gay community. I am all for equal rights etc. but why be so stereo-typical, one would think the reporter would be trying to prove otherwise??? Prove that not all gays are the same & that their love is just a big game or something. Maybe this makes too much sense?
Adrian is a fucking twat. Lighten up! He could have responded way more professionally instead he acted like a cocky bitch. He could have even turned the question around on the interviewer and played along. Well Adrian has no right to be cocky, he is lanky and weird looking. Like an anarexic ostritch.

I think the interviewer was not respectful of Adrien. It sounds to me like he was trying to get a rise out of him. Super uncool!!!!!
If I was asked stupid questions like that after being GRACIOUS enough to even give some no name magazine like that my precious time. . . Well I would have actually been rude.
He was actually very reserved and polite in his answers for such intrusive ridiculous questions.

Lots of straight actors have done interviews with the advocate,I think the questions were meant to be light and fun and I think he could have had a sarcastic funny answer back,thats what most people have done,I find it funny that he took such a weird angle of respect in it,but I give him credit going on the advocate,people that do are supportive of gay rights .
I agree with Brody 100%. The person conducting the interview wasn't Barbara Walters. If it is obvious that the person being interviewed doesn't want to deal with a subject,have the brains to drop it-plain and simple. My words to the person conducting the interview. The Advocate straight man celebrity interviews piece are pretty standard. Toward the end they always get to this line of questioning. He should have taken a minute to look that up. The questions are tacky, but all he had to do was pick up a copy and he could have seen what was coming.

Hold on, Perez, Adrien Brody is absolutely right. He's a fantastic actor, who is supportive of equal rights. That doesn't mean he wants his words twisted around in a perverted way (NOT that being gay is perverted, but, as you well know, bloggers and "journalists" take partial quotes and make massive drama out of nothing). Adrien was totally respectful to the interviewer, who didn't offer that same courtesy. It is not that easy to give a written interview and have all the inflections and sarcasm and tones come through - that is why many, many top actors won't do written interviews - they insist on a camera. Give the guy a break!
