Twilight Sequel Gets the Green Light!

Twilight fanatics got a very special email from book author Stephanie Meyer and film star Robert Pattinson today, Saturday. They announced that the movie studio wants to move forward with a follow-up to the Twilight flick, which experts say will definitely be this weekend's #1 movie!

I wish people would stop blaming the director… I'm not saying that she isn't at fault… But my blame lies mainly with the screen writer… She left out so many lines that I had been looking forward to! I mean… What happened to "do I dazzle you?"
I was appalled they left that out.
I hope Summit demands a new writer.

Yes, I am excited! I personally liked Twilight a lot. I didn't think I would, but I did. I also think the studio will give them a bigger budget for this one. The only lame thing is that New Moon doesn't have a lot of Edward in it. It's a lot of Jacob. Not that I mind Jacob, but Edward is key.

i'll admit it, the first book i enjoyed…for edward. when i started the second book, my brain imploded and my soul died. i don't know why anyone would consider stephanie meyer a great "author". my baby sister designs better plots than her.

i havent watched twilight yet, but im freakin excited for the 26th showing here. new moon. not so much, its my least favorite book anyway and edward was gone wayy too long!
Of course I'll love it. Vampires are my favorite kind of movie.
I'm so excited!! This time around, Summit should invest more $$ into the movie and hopefully stay truer to the book. This is Taylor's time to shine!! Only downfall is there will obviously be less of Robert. I heard a rumor that they'll try to work Rob into the movie as much as possible because he is, afterall, the one who was able to get the numbers in this weeked. Robert doesn't want it that way, but now that this is no longer mainstream, he'll have to give the audience what they want!!

I apologize ahead of time if i offend any fans, but this was probably one of the worst movies i have seen. The acting was beyond subpar, they made their love more cheesy, Bella was waaaaaay to pale. and Edward looked like someone who fell in a pile of white flour. The CGI was beyond terrible. the whole hissing like cats, wow! seriously? and how he doesnt seen body shimmer because his body shines like diamods? wow! they could have atleast explained that its because they are rock hard. alot of inconsistencies. you mean to tell me bella's dad didnt notice edwards cord ass hands when they shook hands?
Anne Rice will forever own vampire stories. Her stories stick more to the folk lore of it, and not try to bring a new age to it. Even the covenant was better than Twilight…

1. FIRE Catherine Hardwick. We appreciate that she is a fan of the books and was eager to make a movie about it—but she has little directorial talent when it comes to cinematography. Is Bryan Singer or Peter Jackson available??? (for at least a consult)
2. FIRE the script writers…they botched so many parts with bad writing–it was PAINFUL in some parts. Perhaps Summit can launch a contest where fans can help write the screenplay for New Moon…it seems we know more about the book and what are core parts/phrases that must be used to make the story clear and concise. The other Cullen characters NEED to be developed.
3. Put the chic who plays Rosalie on a friggin diet… anyone who plays a vampire chic who is suppose to be "the most beautiful woman in the world"–should not have such a huge asz & thighs.
4. Use the $$ from the Twilight profits and buy some decent special effects. When fans want to see Edward/Robert Pattz "sparkle"—he better damn well sparkle and not look like a haze of sweat.
5. Get a better wig for Jacob–that's just nasty

SO excited! New Moon is my favorite out of the series! the only thing that sucks is that rob won't be in it that much, because if you read the book you'd know that he leaves until the end

Normally, I'm not one to gripe about the lack of fancy special effects if the movie is essentially good, but the effects in Twilight were so cheesy and bad it was distracting…

Re: Jenny2 – Wowzers! Kinda harsh there with Nikki Reed! Well, as for number 1, a director can only do so much with a screen play. I think Catherine did her best with what she got. Did you see Thirteen? She's an awesome director. Number 2, I totally agree with you. The screenwriter blows goats. How can you screw up so much?!??! Adding scenes, changing dialog and for godsake, THE MEADOW SCENE?!?! The most famous of the entire book? You got to be kidding me… Number 3, everyone has there own idea of beautiful. I thought Nikki was okay as Rosalie. She's pretty, but the blond hair looked forced. And, everyone knows she got the part because she's great friends with Catherine. I'm not even sure if they auditioned anyone else for the part. Number 5, yeah. That was weird. I don't see how that's beautiful. I hope he sparkles a lot more in New Moon. Afterall, it's supposed to be kinda scary too. Number 6, you're dead on. His wig was a disaster. Lord, who's the costume director? Get a better wig, damnit! Especially since it's supposed to even longer in the next movie.

hmm i would like to see the second on.. altough i wasnt impressed with the first one.. i was disappointed. i know half the time they cant and dont do the same as the book but damn they really did change a lot of things up.. prob some things that didnt need to be switched around.. why cant movies be anything close to what the book was.. it never happens. even little details like the color or bellas room.. how hard was that to keep the same.. or the shitty ass computer that she was suppose to have.. and they really didnt stress on her clumsiness.. and yeah i have known who was playing edward for some time now. but i think they could have casted someone who was actually beautiful… the whole thing just seemed cheesy maybe because its based around a teenage audiance.. with all they hype i just think it could have been a hell of a lot better..
if they write a script that is 100x's better, then maybe i'll get excited, probably not tho, and i loved the books

They fucked up on the first one, they barely have the heart of the movie in the 1st!! They better live up to book or at least an attempt to be like the book, I was completely disappointed. I even fell asleep by my digust of the movie!! However, Ropert and the chick who play Alice live up to my expectation. Jacob had horrible weave on, at least he was cute as hell.

thats awesome BUT they better figure out a way to work Edward in throughout it because honestly, New Moon was my LEAST favorite of the books due to edwards absence…i dont think the next movie will survive without some R Patz….and MUCH better directing…loved twilight but it was filmed SO choppy that a lot of the great moments were tarnished.
Re: Amour7287 – Well my friend, first off I would LOVE to boycott Kristen for ruining this movie. Not only were her giant nostrils distracting, but she is just not a loving character.. She is way better for violet movies. I will admit, the bedroom scene was hot, but Rob can make any almost sex scene hot I am sure.
NOW what I meant was, where was this article found? Because it was signed "Kristen and Rob" at the end, but it isn't like they have a Myspace or another page together. So someone either put both their names on this without them knowing it or something is up. Because I will admit I have watched a few too many interviews with Rob, but he admits that him and Kristen didn't really get along. He found her really intimidating and kept his distance when they weren't filming! Not to mention, that bedroom scene was not even practiced! And only took one take. Insane eh? But now I question where Perez found this post, because I highly doubt they wrote it together…
ps- they need to do something with the make-up, horrible hairpieces worn by "jasper, alice and rosalie" everytime jasper was on the screen i had to fight back laughter bc he looked so ridiculous….edward looked great, bella was good too…what happened to the rest of em??
