After four seasons of airing in syndication, Tyra Banks‘ daytime talk show is moving to the CW’s afternoon block next year.
According to reports, the bad economy had a role in moving the show out of syndication as many stations are being forced to make several budget cuts.
So, in order to save some money on Tyra’s show, they’re also going to cut down her number of productions weeks.
The schedule will be reduced from 34 weeks to only 26 weeks of original programming for TyTy’s chat show.
The new Tyra on the CW will feature an “encore” episode from the first four seasons at 3pm with a new show airing at 4pm.
Old Tyra shows will continue to air late-night on Oxygen, though.
This season The Tyra Banks Show is averaging a 1.0 household ratings. That’s off 9% from the same time last year.
Will Tyra’s show stay on much longer?
