Florida Judge Overturns Gay Adoption Ban

Kudos to Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Cindy Lederman for standing up for equality for all!
On Tuesday, Judge Lederman ruled against a Florida law banning adoptions of children by gay people.
Floridian Martin Gill came before her to fight for the right to adopt two young brothers he has cared for as foster children since 2004.
She ruled in Mr. Gill's favor and stated that there was "no rational basis" for prohibiting gays from adopting children.
Florida has one of the strictest bans on gay adoptions in the country.
Attorneys for the state said they would appeal Judge Lederman's ruling.
The AP reports that the appeal will ultimately decide what happens to the state ban in place since 1977.
Floridians for equal rights, put pressure on your state lawmakers to once and for all overturn the ban on gay adoption!!!!!!

That is the most precious little boy I've ever seen, and you can see how he's got love all around him. I was raised by a single (straight) parent and received very little love as a child. I'd have loved to have had "two dads" or "two moms" who wanted me enough to fight for me.
Gay couples should have the right to adopt. They would make better parents than alot of you well adjusted heterosexual couples. The fact that they CANNOT adopt, is totally ludicrous. This type of thing can, and will change in the future.
I have a hard time understanding how all of these gay activists speak so hatefully of everyone who doesn't share their belief, yet they don't criticize the man many of them so ambitiously campaigned for. They think all of the people against gay marriage are hateful, so why don't they ever mention the men they voted for? Obama and Biden have both said they don't support gay marriage, so why are they immune? Perez once mentioned on his blog that his mother was a Republican, therefore she didn't want equal rights for him. However, Perez campaigned rigoriously for Obama, a man who doesn't believe in his right to marriage.
It is refreshing to have people stating their opinions intelectually, like netty g and jackie k wile they both said things I agree and don't agree with it's nice to see that there are people out there that can get their point across in a mature and coherent manner. If more people expressed their opinions this way maybe this country would resolve it's issues.

THOSE JUDEGES SHOULD SUED CAUSE NOW THEY ARE RUINING LIFE OF BUNCH OF KID THAT ARE GETTING ADPOTED BY THESE PEOPLE.
I look at that picture you posted and think, aww, that baby is loved. Isn't that what we want? Well thats what I want. Don't you think its better for a baby to be put to bed and kissed and tucked in by two men, instead of some state worker? There are TONS of kids who need to be adopted HERE, in AMERICA, and letting lesbian and gay couples adopt is another step closer to a happy family. Its not the parent's bedroom activitites that screw up kids, its the LACK of parents.

You don't choose a child to adopt based on gender, nitwit. You are assigned one by the adoption agency and the birth parent(s), just like you will have to do with anything that comes out of your own womb or that of your partner/birth mother/whatever. Maybe we should also bar straight couples from adopting girls then.
