Since People named Hugh Jackman their “Sexiest Man Alive,” the actor received his inauguration into official sex symbol status from none other than 2-time Sexiest Man Alive George Clooney.
At the Australia premiere, Jackman revealed that Clooney called him at 2 in the morning to harass him. Hunky Hugh said, “I was half asleep and I said to him, ‘Ah, George sweetie, good to hear from you.’ He goes, “Shut up, Jackman! I know what you did! You started this big campaign that’s been going on and [you] took the title away from me.'”
Jackman said, “I thought that was unnecessary.”
But he said that the weirdest aspect of being the Sexiest Man Alive is discussing it with his father…who won’t discuss it. Jackman said, “I’m still waiting for the birds and the bees pitch from him.”
