I really don't think she is that good. I mean, Miley isn't good either but it's a bit of a stretch to say Demi Lovato can actually sing.
To quote Simon Cowell, I don't mean to be rude but….. perhaps if I put on my Mickey Mouse ears this "killer rendition" will sound better. It wasn't terrible, but I'm sure the sound of the money rolling in that she makes for Disney sounds a lot better.

Beautiful beautiful voice but no soul! The parts where she should have paused and let her vibrato come through, she RUSHED aNd just went to the next line in the song. With voice as powerful as hers, they should have been moved to the tears, but she rushed it. Otherwise, she blows miley so far out of the water it's not even funny hahaha.

just because someone can do a little vocal acrobatics, doesn't mean that they're singing well. she was flat….a LOT. she needs to work on breathing properly and holding her tone….she was really "pitchy".

I don't follow any of the Disney stars too well so don't take this like I hate her or I'm 'Team Miley' (I don't & I'm not). And yes I realize this is one of the most challenging pieces of music to sing (oddly enough). Usually at these stadiums the sound echos back at the performer which makes it nearly-impossible to sing live and not get lost (personally drives me bonkers).
However, that was not that wonderful. She has, for part of her range, decent tone & power. But outside of that range she goes flat or she screams. So I have to say, as somebody who's worked in music a long time, she doesn't know how to control her voice, she has too limited range for this song, the the vocal runs were 'sloppy' for lack of a better word and she breathed in all the wrong places. And sheesh she was nervous!!! No reason to be that nervous!!! With practice & proper training I think she could be really great but right now she's not quite there.
Is she better than Miley? Miley has less range but seems to understand this and doesn't usually sing outside her zone. So I say Miley is a better singer in terms of mastered technique however I think I like Demi's voice a bit better. And for the record, YES, I can actually sing this song better than she can

First of all, I wouldn't. I know my limitations. As I wish some of these "stars" did.
Second of all, why would I want to listen to someone who's just "good for a (insert age here)-year-old." I just want to hear someone who's GOOD, period. They have got to stop trotting these nowhere-near-ready kids out in public. This was a very amateur performance.
