They all sing live at the parade but for television they put over the recorded track verison because if they didnt,all you would hear is the parade noise.

Miley's album JUST dropped in the UK and '7 Things' is her first single, X Factor probably requested that she sing it as it is the one that everyone knows. I thought she was good, impressed she sang live as I don't think she does it in her concerts? I do enjoy the song, but her dancing does leave much to be desired… I was well excited though when dermot said that both britney & miley were there to perform, and kind of upset that he didn't even talk to miley at the end, usually when a guest is on the show dermot & the judges talk to them, and the contestants get a master class with them… none of that happened, he said 2 words to britney and she gave very vague and diplomatic advice (they all sang her songs earlier in the night and she was asked how it went, and i'm pretty sure she didn't hear it or listen to it as she just said, 'they all did well, i wish them luck, and to keep trying')
Anyways, the head banging is a no. she should have done that wiggly thing that she does in the video… and i agree the limp hand did look a bit awkward, but she sounded great the whole time and i was impressed with that.

I was watching the X Factor over here in the UK with my Dad. Now my Dad hates American TV, despises the Disney Channel - and takes the piss out of me for listening to Miley Cyrus. When Dermot was announcing her on stage he shouted to the TV "Why put that crap on here? SHE CAN'T EVEN SINGGGGG!" And I looked at him and said "You're gonna eat your words because she sounds better live."
And you know what? After she finished he looked at me and said "bloody hell."
She was great last night. I know you've got a vendetta against her Perez, but when she's done a good job you should praise her. That was great against any standard, she deserves better credit other than "atleast she didn't lipsynch"
I like in the UK & saw this on tele last night. I'm not a huge Miley fan but i thought it was great. Her song's only just being realesed here so we haven't heard it much. It was good, i'll buy it. Britney was also fantastic! Great to see her back again xx
