Look at popular movie actors who hid to avoid camera shots, such as Leonardo and Julia, they don't need the media because their talent is enough to actually carry them. And the end of the day it's only hurting themselves if they fail not the whole machine…

Britney Spears is a sweet, naive child, and a terrible tragedy. While it was good to see her on the road to better things, she is clearly miserable and still the teenager she always was. Her life now could be 10 years ago. The difference is it's now with a lot less enthusiasm. The pre- show drove moments that home. Although she knows she messed up, she just doesn't seem to really grasp why this all happened. We hear her say she's grown up and she's paying a price but that just came across as a canned response. There were moments that seemed very genuine, but people are fooling themselves if they think this was real. If people truly love her as so many here say they do, they would wish her well, keep her in their prayers and NOT buy her music. This would force her out of the limelight and into a quiet life, as she keeps saying she wants. It was bittersweet. I felt it was raw and honest. I don't think she delved into all the details, but she shouldn't have to. She needs to keep something for herself, and I don't think she fully grasps all that has happened and is still on a journey of examining that. I was never a huge fan of hers, liked some of her songs, loved her videos and performances, and I have to say that I have really grown fond of her. I did shed a few tears, especially when she talked about not having the kids at her house…I understand that, i am a single mom, and I know HOW hard it is to be in the house whenmy ex has the kids…only for her it is more extreme. I hope she gains confidence w/ this new CD (loving it btw…downloaded it and preordered it) and comes out with kick @$$ vids and performaces. I dont think any of us can truly understand what she is going through. The one thing that struck me is that she still speaks like a 17-18 yr old. And this shows that when her popularity soared, she never had a formal education and was instantly put in a bubble. 10 years have passed for her and she has learned a lot, but there is still an innocence about her, and I hope she continues to learn. I have always loved Britney. It was nice to see her like that after so long without it. I missed her and it was good to hear those things come out of her mouth, I'm glad that she felt brave enough to talk about EVERYTHING. I think that it was good for her to do this, without the baggage that comes with doing a Dateline piece with Matt Lauer or a Diane Sawyer tear fest. Since it was on MTV, true fans and peers would watch. Not fat, judgemental housewives.

I've gotta agree with you on this. It was more for her "comeback." I personally think she's "coming back" a little too soon after her crazy year. But, she did look better than I've seen her look in a long time.

It was so sad to watch. It's hard for me to understand after all that shes gone through and is currently going through, why she's still trying to keep going with her career. The way she talked about it it almost seemed like she felt its what she had to do and not necessarily wanted, but thats what I got from it
I think she will come back an even greater celeb. I loved her even when she was going through her issues and personally we all have them celebs are just more at risk to critics than we are.
She really does seem like just a sweet girl, but a little sad. When she says she chooses to be happy, I think that's great. She has a great smile and really lights up a room. SO fuckin amazing she was so sincere and she spoke honestly and from her heart you can tell she is still lonely and in pain but hopefully she surrounds herself with good people. It was bittersweet. I felt it was raw and honest. I don't think she delved into all the details, but she shouldn't have to. She needs to keep something for herself, and I don't think she fully grasps all that has happened and is still on a journey of examining that. I was never a huge fan of hers, liked some of her songs, loved her videos and performances, and I have to say that I have really grown fond of her. I did shed a few tears, especially when she talked about not having the kids at her house…I understand that, i am a single mom, and I know HOW hard it is to be in the house whenmy ex has the kids…only for her it is more extreme. I hope she gains confidence w/ this new CD (loving it btw…downloaded it and preordered it) and comes out with kick @$$ vids and performaces. I dont think any of us can truly understand what she is going through. The one thing that struck me is that she still speaks like a 17-18 yr old. And this shows that when her popularity soared, she never had a formal education and was instantly put in a bubble. 10 years have passed for her and she has learned a lot, but there is still an innocence about her, and I hope she continues to learn. I think that it was good for her to do this, without the baggage that comes with doing a Dateline piece with Matt Lauer or a Diane Sawyer tear fest. Since it was on MTV, true fans and peers would watch. Not fat, judgemental housewives.
This essentially came off making her look very normal. I was a fan of Britney but this made me realize that she really is just a normal person, and unfortunately, as abnormal as her life looks to us, it really is all she has ever known.
One more thing…am I the only on that gets what she is saying when she said "everybody shaves their heads". I know its usually guys that do it, but symbolically, yes, you want to shed something. We just got on her because it was Britney and not some random emo goth chick at your local mall. Coincidentally, my local mall is where Paris Hilton showed up yesterday with her shitty new perfume, but I digress.

i really think people dont know what kind of life she is actually really living. and yeah i wish she could have talked more about how she went crazy but i think a lot the hold back was the consertorship that her father has over her. the documentry was well put together and showed her in a diffrent light, as much as i am a fan for the last 10 years she kinda seemed really unhappy in the most part of the documentry. and i think it is because she doesnt have the freedom to do anything anymore. she said she had to pay the consequences for her actions and she will be paying for them for a long time, she fucked up like everyone else does, but her life was put on a big screen for evryone to see.
all in all it was great and i truly feel she is back on the road to success.

AGREED! I felt she spoke and said nothing as well. It's funny how they made sure the C-word never got mentioned at any point becuase they didn't want her to be branded as that…but mostly everyone who post here STILL thinks she's C-R-A-Z-Y. She barely touched the iceburg on her craaazy behaviors. I didn't think she was fully honest….WHY DIDN'T she go to Louisiana "in her fragile state" (BEFORE all the craziness that ensued which have caused her to lose custody NOW)?
