Was anybody else as underwhelmed by this as us????
Everyone wants BritBrit to do succeed and she's trying, but….she's not quite there.
It seems like her "spark" is gone. That confidence. That special ability Britney had to "sell it" like none of her other contemporaries.
Her performance of Circus seemed lethargic. Lacking confidence. And with way too much walking! She didn't even walk well!
Hopefully she will get "it" back over time.
Do U think she can????

thats the best performance from brit brit of all the ones she made to promote her songs from the new album. its way better than UK, france, n germany ones. and its a big step for her now, so lets give her some more time n she might get back on track, but i totally agree that she doesnt look as confident as she used to, all the clips of her i have shows a pro but as i said she is probably getting over the dark ages

There's a lot who just don't get the theme. This performance is a Circus. She's the RingLeader. Hence why she's walking around showing off her performers. It's the theme of the performance, not Britney. She's still got it!

This performance was dull and lackluster. She seems medicated. Reminds me more of the VMA show where she seemed wobbly.
I think she looked good. Not as much energy as a few years back, but she is trying to get back into doing this! I'm sure her confidence will go up the more appearances she makes. It really has been a while!

I think she feels forced into it all, you can tell she's still very unhappy and feels like she's being forced into things by her dad and Larry and stuff…which is pretty sad….but if she doesn't like it she should retire for real….she's got enough money she could probably do it….also it's pretty dissapointing that she never sings live if she's gonna walk around as much as she does…but, we do all know that singing isn't her strong point…..

i think she did fine. although—ill never know why if she wants to lip synch, she wont re-record her vocals. She just put on the cd and sings and dances. Doesnt even try to sound live

The obvious reason, she can't, and now she can't dance either. Too many drugs and booze everyday after day after day. She looks so old.
I think they are not trying to push her too much with very ambitious choreography at this point. That explains the walking instead of more dance moves. but the dance moves she did do were great. I think they need to jazz her moves up, but she is well on her way. She hasn't lost it!

Perez I'm sorry but you are wrong. I admit that her performances in Europe weren't great but I thought this one was spot on…her dancing at the beginning especially was amazing!!! She walked about a bit but it was all part of the "ringleader" act….
She did good. The lighting sucked though. I hope she doesn't get too overwhelmed herself. Her music sounds great. I just think it's going to take time for her to conquer her demons and feel confident in herself.

Her transitions are bad- when she's JUST dancing she looks okay, but she looks awkward when moving from one combination to another.
That was really lame, actually. She caused her own destruction way back when. I refuse to feel sympathy for someone who does all that crazy stuff then comes back doing the exact same thing she had been doing for years before, only being lazier about it, and expecting everyone to feel bad for her because she went crazy and attacked a car with an umbrella. If she was actually trying something new I would definitely be more willing to cut her some slack. But blonde, wavy-haired, breathy-voiced, belly-shirted Britney has been around since the 90's. It just seems like a really cheap way to get "it" back.

i just watched it without sound and i think she looked great! the whole point of "circus" was to be the ring leader, maybe it seemed like her backup dancers did alot more than what she did but i think it was part of the act
Dude 1. It's her birthday lay the eff off! 2. She hasn't been on tour for 4+ years, she's just getting used to the whole performance thing again. It's like if you were to stop working out for 4 years and got fat again, then you'd probably have to work up to getting back into the shape and exercise you were in previously! I thought it was really good
I thought that the most telling portion of the documentary a few nights ago was a part that came towards the end. It was very subtle, but it spoke volumes about her current situation. She asked her manager about the fireworks that were failing to go off for the video, and he just responded with "Britney, play the game". She's not supposed to ask questions and request to live a life; she's just supposed to smile, dance and play the game. Very interesting.

I think she looks fantastic! I think she's a little shy about being back, but wouldn't you be in you lost your mind for all the world to see? Yeah I think she just needs to get more comfortable. This is a BIG DEAL for her to be "coming back"…just give her more time…she'll gain her confidence back…I mean think of all the bullshit she's been through in the past year…You wouldn't be putting on AMAZING SHOWS from the start either.
She was alright, but nothing terrific by any means. She was in the dark, had several things going on with her dancers and props so that helped immensely. If it was just her on stage with a few backup dancers, she would have looked pathetic. I don't like her voice though…she tries too hard. If she would just sing normally. I don't care for the over abundance of the electronic fakiness in her voice that she does a lot of. Just sing!
