Was anybody else as underwhelmed by this as us????
Everyone wants BritBrit to do succeed and she's trying, but….she's not quite there.
It seems like her "spark" is gone. That confidence. That special ability Britney had to "sell it" like none of her other contemporaries.
Her performance of Circus seemed lethargic. Lacking confidence. And with way too much walking! She didn't even walk well!
Hopefully she will get "it" back over time.
Do U think she can????

I think she looks good. She's just getting herself back out there. Performing isn't like riding a bike. Her confidence needs to build back up remember she went through hell. Its not going to happen over night but she can not perform otherwise she won't get the experience to build her confidence up.

Perez you are very mean! She was not awfull. If you see her at the beggining of her carrer she was lame at stage. She was not confident. I guess this comeback is like a new beggining to her.

Yeah, she's not as confident as she was during her Britney and In the Zone days, but hey, this is a HUGE improvement from last year. She'll get there. Once she has a little more practice in front of crowds she'll turn back to the Britney we all knew and loved.
I think she did a great job for what she was there to do. She was able to entice people. She sure was able to make me excited for her tour, something I wasn't so sure I would be excited about.

Well, given the media LASHING she received in the past 2 years I would imagine she's scared SHITLESS to be out there again. No matter how well she does she will always be picked apart for something! Leave her alone, she's trying, she's had a RIDICULOUS last few years. I commend her for how far she's come and I'm sure she will only get better from here! The only thing that bugs me is her OUTFITS!!! Every performance in the past week the clothes have been TERRRRRIBLE! The pants she has on for GMA looks like they're going to burst and any moment and just make her stomach looked squeezed out the top! She needs a new stylist.

for the theme of the circus, it's not very original, Christina did it with Back to Basics!!! when i saw this performance at the beginning and the end it's remind me the HURT video by Christina and her tour… no?
I think she is a has been, she has been famous for her performances in the past, she has been, not to stable , she has been, not a very good Mom to her boys, she has not been to supported by her Parents (until dad was court appointed)very disfunctional family ,she has done it all, time for her to move onto something else! She is kind of …Still Lost! Not being as good as she used to be and trying to come back ,is going to wear her down in a Hurry. When she is Finally able to do what she wants ,when she wants she WILL be back in the same shape she was before the court stepped in. Face it, sometimes there are no COME BACKS . SO PITIFUL & SAD

What is really pathetic about Perez is that he HAS to say negative crap about Britney because it gets people riled up and coming to his site. He feeds off of it. He doesn't care who he tears down to make a buck– just as a bad as any papparazzi. He doesn't see the human aspect to it.
As for her performance, she looked AMAZING. If Perez can't see that… well, he is blind. How could you look at her performance and not see how hot her body looked? Oh wait, he's gay. That performance was really good, loads better than the European ones- she is getting better and better.

I think circus was an amazing performance! People need to quit trying to bash her and bring her down… She has come so far over the last year so let it go! She is back in shape and she seems to have the passion again!!

Well I'm glad to hear this page isn't completely full of trashy comments. I watched both performances and wasn't completely disappointed. I'm not a fan of the choreography — I think she needs something more edgy. I read at one point that she was working with Wade Robson, but that must have been all rumor because she's only working with the Andre kid, who I'm not too impressed by. I want to see her dancing like she did in the day, not just prancing around stage.
However, something important to point out is that she's gaining back her stage confidence. She hasn't performed on a regular basis in YEARS, so it's going to take her a few performances before she gets her strut back. Can't wait to see you in KC girl!

Ha! Sounded GREAT? You realize she is prerecorded and 200% synthetic. Her vocals are only partially her own. She sings over her own tracks… only after the sound engineers have done what is necessary to create a "sound" pleasing to the ears of America's love for the talentless.

2 things:
1. Britney is a mom now, so she isn't slutting it up like she used to, and that was something we all loved about her. She oooooozed sex, and I'm glad she's not anymore~ she has grown up a little and tamed it down for the babies.
2. Britney needs to stop performing in heels~ she never used, and she was always running around the stage like a crazy woman before, and now she isn't cause she would fall on her ass in those heels.
I will always love her, I loved her crazy, and I love her still.

I liked it but wish there could of been more. Granted she just had a major face plant and she has to walk before she runs. I just envisioned some sick choregraphy to this song. She will never be pre-breakdown Britney, she has to pick herself up and accept this and so does everyone else. Nobody can ever go backwards and be something they once were, its called basic psychology. Unlucky for her because everyone wants her to be pre-breakdown Brit. At this moment, she is at least picking herself up and moving forward.
Britney herself said there is no passion in her life now and she's bored. It certainly shows in her performances. She looks like she's in a rehearsal and going through the motions. if she isn't going to dance to make up for the lack of singing, then why do it all at this point? Why not come out when her confidence is back and she's healthy? Seems like there are a lot of people around her who are more concerned with making money.
I thought she did really really well - when she was walking from side to side there was planed danced moves to involve the entire stage - she was not full out but it was a decent set - I would like to see you Perez do a high kick in high heels at 7:00 a.m.? Let she how you do?
Is she hurting for money? It could of done her some good to step away from the scene for a bit. As soon as her meds started to kick in she's at it with the demanding schedule and craziness again.
if youre going to lipsync, at least make an effort in making it believable. She looks like an average girl dancing to a Britney Spears song in a club.

I liked the performance, it probably was really cool to be there.
You gotta give her a bit of a break… she just got over a very serious battle with depression and mental health issues. It's going to take some time until she can feel like herself again. She probably feels so pressured to get it all moving quickly because of the amount of attention she's been getting. I imagine being followed daily by the paparazzi makes you feel like you are more important to the world than you really are, and it instils a sense of responsibility to continue entertaining the public, especially when it's all you know.

I feel like some of the things she was doing were things I do when I'm at home dancing in front of my bedroom mirror. And in case you are wondering, I am one of the worlds most uncoordinated people, so for Britney's moves to be comparable to my own… that's just wronggggg.
Come on Britney, we all know you don't sing live- stop focusing on "looking like your singing" and just give us what we want!!!!! (I.E. old school Britney dancing)

There are somethings that have changed about Britney from her heyday. She doesn't have the same body or moves. Although that can be worked on and changed, there are some things that might not change. She doesn't have that 'spark'. If she is on medications, which I believe she is, this could be part of the problem with that lack of spark. She may never be the Britney that everyone remembers. If she is bipolar, which has been stated, then that's a LIFE sentence, there is no cure. Medications just make it possible to live with it without those wild mood swings. If you get off those drugs, you're back to a life of chaos. Those kind of drugs can tamp down on your spontaneity and emotions. Of course die hard Britney fans are always going to see ANY performance as great and this one wasn't bad. I wish her luck in her life, but she may need to redirect herself into something other than touring. She can perform in other ways. I just don't see being on the road as being good for her. She has a conservatorship because she has not known in the past what is good for her and there is no reason to think that she can handle herself without this conservatorship. However, she is very brave to get back into the saddle after her very public series of meltdowns.
She is still lip syncing…and wasn't the circus thing already done by Christina Aguilera?
she definitely wasn't bad but i agree that the "spark" that used to make her special wasn't there. but still, think about where she was a few months ago and this is pretty remarkable

yeah, sadly she wasnt as good as her performances back in the day, but i think its partly the out fits she chooses. i wouldnt be able to dance to my best ability with leather pants that are tight as hellll and those high-heeled boots. she danced really good on the documentary when she was wearing sweats and a tank. she should wear something more comfortable so she can dance better and she needs more energy like she had in the documentary! she obviously still has the abilities, she just needs to show them to everyone on the stage where it counts the most!

Britney has diffinitely lost her mojo. The blatant miming you expect but the walking around more then dancing you don't expect. You use to be able to forgive the miming because at least she entertained you with dancing. She seemed unsteady and really not that into it. A huge disappointment. I for certain wouldn't spend money to go watch that in a tour. My roommate actually started crying because she felt so sad for britney and how she's just no good anymore.

see, she does a good job at the very beginning…like dancing and all but then as the performance goes on she just walks around…my philosophy on her lip-syncing issue is that is you're NOT going to dance then YOU BEST SING LIVE!!!! her performance wasn't that extraordinary for her to lip-sync…but i still love her! it's definitely a step up from that disasterous VMAs performance…
