Everyone wants BritBrit to do succeed and she's trying, but….she's not quite there.
It seems like her "spark" is gone. That confidence. That special ability Britney had to "sell it" like none of her other contemporaries.
Her performance of Circus seemed lethargic. Lacking confidence. And with way too much walking! She didn't even walk well!
Hopefully she will get "it" back over time.
Do U think she can????

The Circus theme is complete rip off of Christina Aguilera's Back To Basic's Disc 2. Why aren't any of these bitches original anymore?
I thought it was a shiteos performance, definately no confidence whatsoever!
I'm not a big fan of Britney (she cannot sink w/o effects on her voice), but did anyone even notice that her pants were sliding down just slightly because of the mike pack on her waistband? No wonder she wasn't hitting each step - she would touch her waist as she walked around - you could see it on her face!
That said, she looks great, the music is the same, it all depends on how she can deliver it. I'd like to see her become an adult for her fans not try to reclaim the teenage sensation she was.

It's the stupid boots. Every time she wears those, it's like she can't move or something. I mean, her performance wasn't fab but it wasn't thaaat awful.

She's holding on to the past. She needs a new act. Maybe she should also invest in some of long, flowing Stevie Nicks dresses.
her passion for dancing and entertaining has definitely gone!!!! I still think she's dealing with a lot of crap and that's why…..she'll come around eventually I have faith!!!
I think that Britney is doing great considering were she was not that long ago!!! Has she lost some of her spark that made her - her, maybe but after all she's been through, again not long ago, she's doing great & there is a boatload of pressure on her for this to succeed. Maybe too much too soon. I watched everyone of her performances (thanks to Perez) & think she's just nervous cause so much is riding on this. In no time the spark will be back as she gets back into it & instead of people saying horrible things about everything about her from her hair to her weight to her mental issues - maybe once she starts to hear something positive then she'll be back better than ever. I was just upset she's not coming to Philly, cause we would have excitedly gone to see her show. I love Britney. Always have & Always will & I was an adult already when she came out. Cut her some slack.
The OLD Britney was destroyed by everyone who wanted something from her.
By her fans who wanted more albums, more performances…just more Britney…By her managers who wanted her to make them more a d more money…By Sam Lutfi who used her for money and even drugged her for that….And what did that result in?
As a result we got Britney 2008. A woman who has been through hell…who has been through things I hope you never have to go through.
And yet she is still trying to please us, give us what we want…but at the same time she knows that she needs to come first….she comes first and then us.
And lately I’ve been also noticing that the fans are criticizing her more then the press. And that makes one wonder…
Here we have a woman who’s doing her best to rebuild her career, who’s pushing herself to the limit to please us again…But guess what?
It still isn’t good enough for some of you.
In fact, we’ve come to a point where nothing is ever good enough anymore.
She’s making music videos, doing photoshoots, releasing a new album…you name it…and it still isn’t good enough…so what is good enough?
She's totally NOT what I thought she would be. She looks freaking hot, but uh,… yeah. Not the Brit I remember.
I think it was awesome.. circus theme is genius! The only thing is that she keeps wearing huge heels that she can't walk in, in her past performances she would alway wear sneakers and she could jump around alot better.
can you imagine the pressure the girl is under. talk about all eyes on her. just waiting for her to eff everything up. i personally wouldn't go through it - no matter the rewards. Props to her. Plus, DAYUM, her body's banging.
Yeah, that "spark" went out when she hastily married, spawned off two kids, and went nuts. There is a certain vibrance of youth and innocence, even though she was successful, she learned some hard adult lessons over the past couple years…..it shows.
Take note Jessica Simpson. Your spark is SOOO GONE too.
Her heart's not in it anymore. The excitement of stardom has past for her. She's just going through the motions. The shelf-life of this poptart has expired. Is there any more ways I can say it? That outfit is atrocious, should've worn the girdle she wore in her first show. I don't even like watching her anymore, couldn't even finish the vid.
She will be fine, we seen worse so hopefull her meds r better and she can focus and do good

I think she looked good. Yes, she is still a little stiff, but it's been 5 years, 2 babies and one helluva mental breakdown, since she's performed. She'll get there, she has 4 months to practice. When she's up on that stage, she'll feel it again.
You have to remember that there is such a thing as choreography. That ring looked huge so maybe Britney was trying to work the whole stage. i think she looked AMAZING! And I'm super excited that she's doing so well and think that everyone that talks shit is lame… at least she's regained her life back for the most part.

Hmmm, criticizing and commenting on her every move I doubt will do much for her confidence….SO MUCH pressure to be perfect when she hasn't had the time to get her personal life in order and fully recover. No wonder she flipped before, the stress has to be unbelievable.

OMG, terrible! I cannot believe it… She cannot even lift her own leg on its own which followed by half a turn which was just as horrible. OMG! She's not a great singer but great dancer, come on… that is how she lost all that weight, so she should be dancing yet better than before! Horrible!

I've always been underwhelmed by her. The greatest mystery of our time is how Britney Spears became as famous as she has. Nah, that might be #2, Paris Hilton should be #1.
i honestly don't think it was bad. i think the the dancing she did was great… i think the choreography could call for her to walk a lil less and do more of that old school brit brit dancing…. she has a bit to go but i think she's on a great start!

She looked AMAZING!!! Her workouts definately paid off, and I find her body trasnformation completely motivating. No, she didn't perform with the same "dancy spunk" she had in her late teens/early 20's, but she still has it. She did look a bit nervous, but I think that should be expected after everything she has gone through. By the time she goes on tour, her confidence, spark, and "dancy spunk" will be back 110%
I think she started out explosively when she was on top of the cage and then maybe slowed a little at the end. Maybe her costume was annoying her? It can be extremely difficult to dance when you think your pants might be about to fall down or your top is about to go up! Also if you want her to sing live, she's not gonna be able to dance her fucking heart out. It's IMPOSSIBLE to both at a 10 volume, so have a bit of consideration. I think she's awesome

I think Brit is doing great! She looks beautiful. Her album is great. I wish she would have done a double album with her last one so everyone could experience it, too. She is amazing. Though I personally don't like this type of over produced, multi voice cause the lead doesn't have a good one, kind of "music" I do appriciate what this woman has been through and what still lays ahead for Britney to over come. She's not 17 anymore. She's not allowed to wear that after 2 kids. The performance wasn't too bad, but I prefered her costumes for Womanizer in the UK.

I thought that was pretty entertaining. Nothing breathtaking or amazing.
But remember her performance at the MTV awards last year? This is miles ahead of that. Just be glad she made it down the stairs and had some energy!

This was wayyyy better than last years VMA performance. She actually danced a little and seemed to enjoy herself a little bit more. I def. think she needs less walking in the choreography .
People are forgetting, Britney has a bad knee. She's had several surgeries on it so i'm guessing that could be part of what she's not jumping around like she used to. Plus, we all know she is probably on medications now and that can affect her too. But all in all, I thought she did great. I was in tears watching her on GMA because she has come so far and for whatever reason it is that she chose to do a "comeback"…whether it's because she loves the job or because she wanted to let the world know she is better, then good for her. I'm happy for her. When she danced back in the day, people said she was too young to be dancing like that. Now that she's older, maybe she doesn't want to be grinding quite as much.

but come on, this is a girl who tried to take her own life and was deeply depressed less than a year ago. I believe she genuinely wants this comeback to succeed. At least put a positive spin on your story like "she has room to improve, but she is on the right track". This performance obviously tops the last 4 she has done thus far. She has been getting better each time.

it wasn't as bad as her performance of gimme more last year on the VMA's, i'll give her that. I hate it when singers lipsynch instead of really singing. it wasn't like any of the dance moves she was doing were that difficult. she wouldn't have been out of breath if she had sang by herself. she probably just sounds like shit without all the backgroud vocals.
All it seemed to lack was energy, Britney looked like she was dragged out of bed right before going on stage. This made the dancing not "thight" at all, and that's a shame… She can be WAAAAY better and she will be in time!
