Re: HesOverU&IntoME –
Actually, because it's a minority government, we the people DID NOT vote him in… most people voted for the other parties… something like 1/3 of Canadians voted for Conservative, but that's still 2/3's that DIDN'T vote for him.
Including me.
Let's hope this shit get's sorted out soon. We have bigger things to worry about than who get's to be Prime Minister.
Re: jackie kay – then why did you even read it? you can easily scroll over anything political.
Jackie Kay: What a model of intelligence, charm and civility you are. Truly a wonderful representation of the human race.
Re: Dirty old man – haha hey and dont forget we drive dog sleds eh, and it snows 100% of the year eh. and we say eh at the end of every sentance eh.
for those of you who are going to attack me i'm making fun of myself. its a joke so dont go threatening me cause im Canadian too born and raised in Alberta. GOD it just makes me giggle that some people ACTUALLY still think stuff like that.
PEREZ!! You should know better than to take the word of only one resource.
Harper won a minority government in our last election. He doesn't think the recession is bad enough right now, and wants to wait to see what the U.S. does before they do anything. (I agree).
The opposition parties (NDP, Liberals and Bloc Quebecois) think Harper should be doing something about it RIGHT NOW. But that is really just a farce. They are only pissed off that Harper limited their political money. So, the NDP and Liberals made a backroom deal with the Bloc Quebecois (who are separarists and want to tear Canada apart) to overtake the government and make Stephane Dion our prime minister. BULL SHIT!
No matter who's side you are on, you should be pissed off as a voter. Say that you voted for NDP, did you vote for the NDP to make a backroom deal with the liberals and the bloc quebecois? NO. Say you voted Conservative (which I did), the other three parties are basically banding together to kick Harper out because they are pissed he limited their money. They are only interested in themselves and not what is better for Canada.
Re: Canadian Girl – I completely agree with everything you've said.
Canadians didn't vote coalition, they voted for ONE party each. Not three. Just one. I don't see why we even have 'minority' governments if the opposition can all gang up on the party in power.
And also for those saying he barely won, what are you on? Seat wise, he almost doubled the Liberals. And seats are what matter in Canadian politics. If people have such a problem with Harper, then why did so many people not vote? They should have. Of course, if more people voted, that could have also led to a Harper majority.
Anyway, I don't think it's really fair. It takes away your right to vote, really. Sure 60% voted against Harper or something, but that was split across the other parties so REALLY Harper won fair and square by having the most seats of a single party.
I don't always agree with Harper, and I do think that a lot of people may be better suited, but right now he's better then anyone else in the running, so really…
Another perfect example of an arrogant Canadian
OK
to some non Canadians- Canada IS relevant, so get the fukc off you superiority high horse and educate yourself about the REST of the world OTHER than yourselves
To some Canadians- Get the fukc off Quebec's back
This is a Democracy. Personally I love the idea of a CONSULTING and INTERACTING government.
Re: Fuck Stephan Dion – you dont make any sense. im going to lay it out for you since you dont get it.
1)Im not Canadian
2)Didnt say anything about Canada being irrelevant to America
3)And as far as Stupider being a word, its debateable. Some consider it a word and some dont. So up urs.
Re: Syphon – LOL
Re: Syphon – Whatever, all Im doing is defending myself. Mock me if you want but any other person backed into a corner would cower like an animal, and Im not an animal. I stand up for what I say and no one could tell me otherwise and for that I do think Im a great representation of a human? As opposed to you sytrically saying Im not human?Im just excersizing my right to speak my mind and dont appreciate it when people threaten me like they can stop me from doing it. So if anyone has something to say, I'll have a reply for them b/c im not less of a person than anybody else.
It's wonderful that I JUST voted and even though I can't stand Harper, let's waste more tax dollars that could be used to help the economy and the citizens. Awesome.
Re: jackie kay –
If im ever in texas ill be sure to find you so i could see what "stupider" looks like…
Re: Fuck Stephan Dion – Please do. I dont know why i got a burr up ur ass so far that u felt the need to tug-o-war with me so long, but Im glad I got to you.
Trust Perez,
.
there would be NO gay rights if he had it his way.
.
please inform yourself on what Steven Harper is really all about.
Wow. The majority of these replies have been one big facepalm. (excluding those who actually know their politics)
We've got people jumping down others' throats for having an opinion. We have us Canadians who pride themselves on our nationality (as we all should — the world as a whole) looking like massive hypocrites by trying to win an internet fight over Canada's relevance with someone who's just as ignorant and couldn't be bothered to know so what's the use arguing.
Then we have the people speaking for all Canadians. Oh boy. Saying all Canadians hate the Quebecois and that all Quebecois are separatists. You get mad at an American for being ignorant to our politics, yet you can sit there and speak for all Canadians and their opinions.
As for whether Canadian politics has it's place on a Gossip Blog, it does. Just as the American election has been mentioned on this blog every day for for the past year. As it's been mentioned, what happens in one country affects the rest of the world in one way or another. It wouldn't hurt people to know what's actually going on in the world. Though it would be just as easy to pick up a newspaper.
So, stop trying to win an internet fight and go out and educate yourselves before you make yourself look more stupid.
Just my opinion.
Re: bitesizex – No ones on a high horse you all are beating a dead horse. Ill repeat myself for the 50th fuckin time. I D-I-D N-O-T S-A-Y C-A-N-A-D-A I-S I-R-R-E-L-E-V-A-N-T T-O A-M-E-R-I-CA. Only to celeb gossip.geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezas
WTF?!?!? God, Canadian government is SHIT. I feel like moving down to the states.
Hahha…stupid conservatives….maybe some real change will happen in Canada!
Re: PAMCAKES6141 – amen to that!
Harpers a loser!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! VOTE LIBERAL!
Re: brittricky – I appreciate you being less crude, but Im not ignorant. And I havent been personally attacking anyone for their opinions. And yeah I'll admit Im not up on Hockeylands politics. Thats because geologically speaking, I couldnt be further from it. Thats why I didnt comment on it specifically. Your opinion is that there should be politics on a gossip blog and mine is I think there should be less especially in other countries. SO, thats that. And I dont think my opinion shoud make me ignorant b.c I find more reliable and efficient ways of getting my news.
Don't even get us friggin started! Altho..now who's to say that Canadian Politics is boring?!
Re: mcmaster – the majority of Canadians vote against harper…not really like comparing obama and mccain..sorry!
The coalition wants to steal the power, the power they didn't earn in the first place.
Canada had its election and we spoke.
Separatists can go to hell.
First off Harper is a nazi. An arrogant, self serving, power hungry sack of runny yellow shit. However he is a duly elected sack of runny yellow shit. He may not have a majority of the popular vote but his party received more votes than any of the others. It's just that collectively more people voted for all the other parties combined than they did for his party. I find it hard to believe that every single person who voted for the NDP or Liberals thought it didn't matter which one got in. These are two seperate entities with different agendas and ideologies. Therefore a vote for either one of these two parties is not a vote for a combination of the two. That is what makes what the coalition is trying to do undemocratic. If Harper had not been able to prorogue Parliament and a vote of non confidence had been successful then another general election should have been called. It would have been a collossal waste of taxpayers money but that would have been the only true democratic way to handle it. Anyway it's all just a pissing contest to these guys and gals, on both sides. I don't believe they think much about what Canadians actually want anyway. The system though, while not perfect is a pretty damned good one and it has to be upheld and protected. This coalition makes a mockery it and that is what really bugs me. Oh and the Bloc? They received not one single vote outside of Quebec, they don't count. Nothing but a bunch of traitors anyway.
Re: jackie kay –
Alright so I actually had to sign up for this stupid site to say this but it's really bugging me.
You guys should lay off this person, in regards to the whole argument with them, they are coming across as more intelligent… Don't get me wrong, Jackie kay is saying some really mean and stupid things, as most of us do when being attacked, but so is everyone attacking, and the attackers are missing the point.
While, being Canadian, I didn't find the original post necessary or worth the time it would take to comment back, I agree that in the context of a "celebrity gossip" site, canadian politics could be considered irrelevant, although American politics could as well. That being said, Perez makes both relevant on his site, and often has many other countries politics on here as well.
The original poster was not personally attacking anyone, just saying something dumb, but everyone responded with personal attacks, seriously, just leave it alone, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and personally I think it is at least just as bad to insult someone because they are from texas.. seriously, get it go people.
Also I need to say, not all of the west is conservative, I am in alberta and sick to death of living in a conservative nightmare where we can hardly put on "The vagina Monologues" witout people freaking out, but that's just me (and most of my friends). Please don't speak for us.
Okay.. first… perez you rock for picking up on this! Good on you!
Second…. As many people have stated before… the majority of Canadian DIDN'T vote for Harper, otherwise he wouldn't have a minority government! And second.. they are forming a coalition between the Liberals and the NDP with support from the Bloc and the Green Party on votes of confidence, it doesn't give either of those party any "power" what so ever.
Third… this is totally democratic! This is how it works… the PM has lost the confidence of hte other parties.. therefore he should no longer be in power.. to bad for him, his plan was the shits. We can either waste money on another election, or make a government work for the next couple years. Dion will only be PM as long as he's the head of the liberal party… which will only be until May at the latest when the new leader of the party is named in which case Dion will resign and the new leader will take the position of PM.
I could go on about this forever…
Re: Fuck Stephan Dion –
the American Heritage Dictionary:
SYLLABICATION: stu·pid
PRONUNCIATION: stpd, sty-
ADJECTIVE: Inflected forms: stu·pid·er, stu·pid·est
1. Slow to learn or understand; obtuse. 2. Tending to make poor decisions or careless mistakes. 3. Marked by a lack of intelligence or care; foolish or careless: a stupid mistake. 4. Dazed, stunned, or stupefied. 5. Pointless; worthless: a stupid job.
NOUN: A stupid or foolish person.
ETYMOLOGY: Latin stupidus, from stupre, to be stunned.
OTHER FORMS: stupid·ly —ADVERB
stupid·ness —NOUN
But Im sure you've already looked it up.
Re: HesOverU&IntoME – Actually, last time I checked, we didn't vote for Harper to be prime minister…we don't vote for anyone to be prime minister. In Canada we vote for parliament, and generally, the leader of the party with the most seats in parliament is the prime minister and that party forms the government. If the rest of the house, being our elected representatives, no longer have confidence in the government, it is well within the constitution for them to form a coalition government, which is what we are seeing here. This is democracy in action people! Harper shutting Parliament down for the next 6 weeks is what's unconstitutional and undemocratic! He's just delaying the inevitable and trying to turn the other parties against one another. When over 60% of the country do not vote for your party, you should not get to form government anyways!
Re: jackie kay – "looking like massive hypocrites by trying to win an internet fight over Canada's relevance with someone who's just as ignorant and couldn't be bothered to know so what's the use arguing." Was the only bit directed at you. Not the bit about personally attacking people. I do agree to an extent that maybe Canadian politics shouldn't be featured on a gossip blog, but they have a relevance mainly because it affects the world as a whole. Having read a lot of your replies to other people's comments, I can see what you mean. I'm not trying to argue. I'm just trying to clarify. Unfortunately, the internet doesn't translate the same way. Perfect example being your original comment for which people jumped to conclusions. Their replies make us Canadians look just as bad.
Anyways, Spicey said it all better than I could.
Re: Fuck Stephan Dion – ehheeee! totally!
All I have to say is im part of the 62% of Canadian that didnt vote conservitive so fuck you anyone who voted conservitive and is pissed because your vote isnt being hear because yes your party got the most votes but more Canadian voted for against harper then for harper so really a coalition is the majority and therefore more of what Canada wanted…….Harpers an arrogant asshole, what a great fuckin idea our economy is in shambles and the idiot could come up with a way to fix it therefore causing this problem and now because hes an idiot he put the fuckin problem on hold for the next 2 months!!!!!! can our economy really wait that long, we need to think of a solution now!!!!!! and get off Quebec's back I dont support separatism however if supporting the separatists is what it takes to help the failing economy so be it! I support democracy
Re: jackie kay – Well first of all…you definately should rethink some of the big words you are using…"geologically speaking…" well unless you are talking about politics and gossip in terms of rocks….I believe you meant "geographically speaking".
Since so many people are making the argument that Harper shouldnt be in power since he has a minority government, what do you propose to do to fix it? Should we keep holding elections until someone holds a majority? Use a process of elimination until there are only two choices? Not going to happen. The reality is, as long as the Bloc continue to recieve a large majority of seats in Quebec, and none outside, it makes it difficult for any party to hold a majority government. In this election the conservative party won more seats in Quebec than was expected.
Just because the Conservatives didnt win a majority doesn't mean that they don't legitimately belong in power.
Re: mizz.tush –
Sweet!!! Another ALBERTA GIRL!!!
Re: lisa00789 – SO NOT TRUE!!! She was a journalist not a separatist!!! besides that whole seperatist argument is just a desparate attempt by the conservatives to keep there jobs while canadians loose theres! GO COALITION!!!
Re: jackie kay –
Thank you for giving me a full description of you.
Holy shit Harper's lost his mind! >_
Re: rjmurray – yes I mean geographically, sorry. and yes I know the difference, just an honest mistake while trying to multi-task
Re: Fuck Stephan Dion – no, that was me proving you wrong but I guess you didnt catch that. whats wrong with you? You seem like an incrediby mean and unhappy person, and personally Id rather come off as "ignorant" then an all-round cruel person.
Re: jackie kay –
considering theres 250 comments I would say a lot of people care you fucking ignorant moron.
Harper is a fucking douchebag. At least with a coalition more people will be satisfied because they'll be getting SOME sort of representation from their party of choice. The Conservatives got into power with like, 38% of the vote or something, so the "we voted them in" argument doesn't really hold up as well as it may have at other points, so please, stop wearing it out.
This was such a dick move on Harper's part and he should have just faced facts and realized he's on his way out sooner or later and he may as well have done it sooner to avoid more Canadians getting more fed up with him.
Merci beaucoup and goodbye!
Also, stop trying to scare people with the "OOOH THE BLOC, THEY'RE SEPARATISTS" thing. I'm fairly positive the Bloc did not include separation in their platform AT ALL this time around, and frankly, that is not the issue at hand. The Bloc knows that, so stop trying to frighten people into thinking a coalition = Canada gets ripped apart.
harper is an ass buut he waas elected by the peoplee for a reason and ii think that if people like dion are goiing to be sore loser than why even have canadaa votee if there just going to go and change the way canada voted.. its a fuckiing disgrace to candaa and the democraacy..
Re: bobbytomorow – shut up bobby-come-lately and a lot of them are addressed to me. And Im not trying to brag about it, it just is what it is. I dont need to repeat myself, so if you want to know more instead of just jumping onto the hate band-wagon, read previous posts.
If we had wanted anybody else in the Government they would have been elected. The times are tough all over. Stephen Harper IMO is the lesser of the 4 evils…..and was voted back in. It may be a minority government, but the last one i want to be "in" and have any say is the "Bloc Quebecois"..I mean shit……they want to separate from the rest of Canada? I think Harper should be left in….
Re: jackie kay –
Hey i bet if you would just shut up, no one would even comment on this anymore… since "this blog revolves around you"
Re: becca1923 –
We have a prime minister not a president, wow do americans know anything about Canada?
Re: jackie kay –
Must be nice to be so ignorant and stupid.
basically our votes didn't/don't count.
Re: jackie kay – you know the more this fight between you and all these people continues the more hilarious it gets. btw I highly enjoyed the stupid description, and after i read alot of what you said before I honestly take back the snippy comments I made. Your right Politics has nothing to do with celeb gossip and yet in a way it does only because its stuff you see all the time on television so in a way it is about celebrities. plus I just have to ask do you see how what you said in the beginning could have been taken in the wrong context? I feel bad for jumping to the conclusion that you were attacking Canada.
That's the fucker Canada elected, trying to stop democracy.
I always knew Harper was a wannabe-dictator, seems like I was right.
I want my vote to stay the way it is! I don't want some tempter tantrum throwing politicians pulling nothing better than a dam coup to take over what they couldn't get through the democratic process.
I don't believe the bullcrap rhetoric about having no confidence in the Tory-led government because of the recent peek into the budget. I believe they had this planned as a "plan B" all along.
Its not a good idea to go to bed with the Separatists Dion and Layton….not good at all! Let us keep the government we voted in and just suck it up and stay on the opposition side! The Canadian democratic voters didn't have confidence in either of you leading our country in the first place….
Holy shit…an American that notices something going on outside of America? I am in shock…never thought I would see it happen. I am impressed Perez!
Sadly, this "economic crisis/Bush fuck up" has caused division in our country as well.
Re: buck –
Another really ignorant american, how about Canadians usually clean up the mess your country leaves with wars, we were in Iraq, we ARE in Afghanistan. And just so you know as far as sports, basketball was invented in Canada dipshit, I love how Americans know nothing about Canada!!! So many of you are stuck in this bubble and know nothing about the world around you. I used to laugh at all the stupid hit Sarah Palin said and I now realize she is a perfect spokesperson for many americans….dumb and dumb. I'm half american and live in Canada, and I'm embarrassed to be American some times.
Re: Aequa – not all of Canada elected Harper. Im sick of people implying that Canada as a whole elected the moron.
Re: jackie kay –
If you only come here for celebrity gossip than why did you click the link to respond to a political entry??? You're just feeling stupid know and thats your lame excuse
Re: Sonbi2 – You give politics to much credit. Every part of Canadian AND American politics is crooked, they could have fixed the vote like they did when Bush was re-elected.
You guys should lay off this person, in regards to the whole argument with them, they are coming across as more intelligent… Don't get me wrong, Jackie kay is saying some really mean and stupid things, as most of us do when being attacked, but so is everyone attacking, and the attackers are missing the point.

Re: mizz.tush – YEAH,believe me, I wish I had elaborated in the first place. I said one short comment and everyone went bazurk. Honestly I had no idea Canada had so much pull in in this blog…lol. I guess I'll know better next time. Usually I say one short comment here and there and dont think anything of it and 99% no one else says anything responding. I didnt know this time it would equate to me being all of the sudden ignorant and stupid.
Re: jackie kay –
That explains so much, texas…where bush is from, now I get where the IQ is from, btw you have terrible grammar. Are you 12?
Re: jackie kay – My post wasnt directed specifically to you, but alright
Re: buck –
HAHAHAHA…right and when we look at what the American government has done in the past 8 years, its sooooo not fucked up right? Just curious, did we find those weapons of mass destruction yet??? no eh??? and those billions of dollars spent on war, and your a safer country now right??…and economy's great right??? thats what I thought
Re: Dame Perez – im not stupid. all assuming does is makes and ASS ou of U and ME.and thats what everybody did when i said it was irrelavent. i scanned over the article to see what it was about and saw it was politics and that why i got annoyed, posted then went on my merry way until i checked back and saw everyone flipping out on me. im not backtracking on anything, i mean what i say and say what i mean.
I live in Canada and I don't get what the government does some days.
Re: Fuck Stephan Dion – i didnt say it did, you've been the only one for the most part revolving around my nuts. lay off and chill out madmax.
oh, and if you guys hate "separatists" so much, ( which, by the way, is NOT in the Blocs immediate plans) why not just let them separate?
Re: spicey – Well I am from Alberta as well…and I am not sure what you mean by "living in a Conservative nightmare". How has the conservative party kept you from living the way you choose? You can get an abortion in Alberta, the arts are funded pretty adequately, we have superior cultural meccas, and one of the most cash-flush economies within Canada, so I am hard pressed to define the west as "a Conservative nightmare".
Re: Dame Perez – Bush isnt from Texas. And there is nothng wrong with my grammar. Im not writing fuckin essay here so I dont dot my i's and cross my t's for the likes of you.
Re: buck –
Canada being a country had nothing to do with the States you idiot. And we are out of Iraq because there was no reason for anyone to be there in the first place, you guys were just hungry for oil. Canadians care more about peace and freedom than money. we are in Afghanistan and many countries in Africa, you know the por countries that Americans ignore because they can't gain anything from them.
Re: bitesizex – i figured it was since you "lol"ed to the comment by syphon calling me an less than decent human. and used the whole "canada is relevant" line. it just sounded a lot like it was directed at me, but if it really wasnt, then I apologize.
Re: mizz.tush – I was actually surprised that Harper got in…but i still think he's the least one to do a whole shitload of damage that can't be fixed. The NDP will never get in, the Liberals have and screwed things royally….and the Bloc should never be in for obvious reasons. I doubt anything was fixed, but i think up here if it was going to be "fixed" he'd have a majority instead.
Re: Rachel*** – darling, Jackie probably doesn't understand anything you just wote. She's probably dining on a big bucket of oatmeal and getting her banjo out right now.
peace.
Re: Fuck Stephan Dion –
LMAO hahaha that was great
Re: jackie kay –
Snort. Which "newspaper"? The Weekly World News?
Re: jackie kay – I thought his comment was funny, although I wasnt laughing AT you, I tend to appreciate sarcastic humor
but there are many other people here to whom my post was much more directed to than you
I'm sorry people are jumping down your throat for the misunderstanding
He's as bad as Bush.
Re: Tarabee – thats the stupidest stereotype Ive ever heard of, Im from central Texas in Austin. Otherwise known as "the blueberry in the tomato soup," and "the blue city in a red state," and so on. This isnt fuckin Louisiana. banjo, wtf is that? guitars and maybe i can understand a fiddle, im not out on the damn bayou. And no one eats oatmeal here, I think you mean grits.only someone who is ignorant makes generaliztion like that which btw i havent done through out the whole post. if ur going to pull out low, outdated stereotypes atleast get ur states and generalizations straight.
Re: jackie kay –
So I guess almost everyone on here was assuming, I like how much later on you added unreleated to this site lol Your sentence came across as ignorant and Im not the only one who saw it that way either, so maybe you should think about how you phrase things. And stupider is not a word, I love how you typed out the definition for it and it still didnt show that its an actual word lol. And JUST FOR THE RECORD I understand this is a site for celeb gossip or at least that was the original purpose of this site but PEREZ has been commenting on polics for a log time sweetie, and guess what…its his site so he can change it if he wants. And at the end of the day if it really gonna matter if Maniston's pregnant or Aubrey O'days outfits still suck? no our world and politics are what matter. I feel sorry for you, you are probably not very intelligent eh?
Re: Calamity Ayne – Mostly I read the Austin Chronicle,Austin-American Statesman and a little bit of The Onion but I tend to get lazy and opt to watch a lot of news on t.v. as well. What was the snort for? Are you a pig or did you just take a bump?
Re: jackie kay –
Actually dotting i's and crossing t's would qualify as spelling not grammar, and there was still so many errors with that sentence lol And Bush was the governor of Texas….speaks volumes for you
So much for the democratic process………..
Re: buck – How stupid and ignorant can you get, when katrina hit guess who sent help before your own president…canadians when texas got hit with the hurricane and the power went out a convoy of canadian trucks drove into the states carrying supplies and equipment to help get the power back on. When you guys went to war guess where our troops went….right along behind you guys giving your troops support. When 9-11 happened canadians opened their wallets to help. So for us not contributing i think we have done far more than your lazy ass has ever done. So piss off
Re: Dame Perez – What are you talking about? I said what I meant from the get-go after the first "fuck you." Stop trying to start more shit. Im very intelligent and I feel sorry for you that you have to tear people down to make urself happy. what a sad way to live.
and i didnt type it out, its from bartlby.com. why would I type that out?? Im really not that desparate to be right, especially if I already know I am.
Re: Sonbi2 – yeah i can't argue that, i just actually had the same conversation with my brother. I hate Harper he's the "best" for us… God this just makes me sad LOL stupid Politics, it's like watching a bunch of children trying to get their way.
Re: jackie kay –
Good on ya for being so up on world politics! I'm just playing. As for your pig or a bump comment…Hmmmm, maybe a little from column A, a little from column B.
holy, people on here need to chill out and take a bit of a breather!
Re: Dame Perez – Yeah he was the gov, but you said he was from here and I corrected you. Hes from Massachusettes. And like I said,if Im getting my point across, I think Im just fine. I tested out of eng comp 1, I think most evryone on here could understand what Im saying without me spell, punctuation and grammar checking. its a little hard to keep up with all the comments so i rush then im also at work. so how bout u stop being so critical.
I fully support a coalition government, it is democracy in action 65% of Canadians did not vote for Harper and his ilk. They do not represent the majority of Canadians and certainly do not reflect our views and values, it's time to send them packing.
well at least you can't say that our members of parliment don't care about the state of economy to allow the shit Harper is proposing us. This is a new day and age and it will make everyone clear that they better work hard to get confidence back into the system or you become the weakest link–if only Y'all would have done that to Bush 7 years ago!
WTF - does Harper need 2 months to drink egg nog throughout December and kick back with the family while finally getting his team to write an action plan while the Canadian economy goes into the crappery - how festive of him - any hey even better use of tax payers money by givng the motley crue a 2 month vacation from parliment - now that sounds like a cool job!
this is fucking bullshit
harper can do whatever he can
but only a revolution can stop this
the ndp are power hungry idiots
the liberals just freak out at everything and make very unrealistic promises
and the bloc are just a bunch of fucking french speaking retards
i'm ashamed to be living in quebec because of them
harper is the only one i trust as being prime minister
the conservatives are the only party that knows what they're doing
the other parties don't give a fuck about canada
they just care about themselves
Re: becca1923 – actually this had been proposed before in the 70's and no it is not the fall of democracy to oust a primeminister who sucked bush's balls and makes dumb decisions for his pocketbook and our demise. I think It is the beginning of a new era where we finally have change to look at and it's playing hardball with the people who assume they can do what they want in office without the other members to test the merit. Things are gonna change and now we are looking at it with fresh eyes-especially after we realised how many people didn't vote it is an eye opener and im sure things will come back around after all this is sorted out. I voted Green!
we just had an election about a month ago. The opposition says the current government is not meeting their promises about the economy. Lets keep in mind that the prime minister is an economist and the best thing to do is hold fast until the new budget comes out in January. The GG made a wise decision to suspend parliment until the budget comes out. Nothing like the way the Liberals throw around tax money. DO we really want Dion in power with the current economic crisis? I think not. the GG is the Queen's rep and has the power now. Canada, lets sit tight. We are a fab country. Just hold fast and watch the rest of the world's economy's collapse and not spend a dime till we can evaluate what is important and what we can scrap.
I LOVES IT. People die in other countries to give voice and action against corrupt governments that only care about the status quo.
We Canadians have the ability written into constitutional law.
HA Stephen HArper,, Take that fukker. Squirm.
Sorry, sorry, hes actually from Connecticut. my bad.
Re: CountryGirl – Good for you but your statement "than shit head Stephane Dion, stupid quebecois who would work for quebec only and forget about all the other provinces. " is ignorant as hell. Your statement implied that your issue with Dion is that he is Quebecois. And I've heard enough ignorant people bitching about Dion's crappy English to be sick of it.
Re: jackie kay – it must suck to be so stupid…canada is the shit…and your a dumb bitch…educate yourself
If the coalition takes over we will be ruined here in Canada. Everything will go to shit. What was the point of even voting?!?! We have no rights apparently.
This is probably for the best.
I'd rather have HARPER as our Prime Minster than DION!
Besdies, the liberals, NDP, and Bloc Quebecois are pretty much telling us Canadians "Fuck you, your votes and your opinions don't matter."
I voted for the NDP but what I think they are doing is just wrong. If they aren't going to listen to the votes (since Harper WAS elected in) then what the hell makes you think they will listen to us if they win this fight?
It's all just fucked up and this world is fucking crumbling!!!!
