Since Lily Allen's latest rant can't be blamed on booze - she's allegedly sober - we'll categorize it as insecurity issues.
On Monday, the loudmouth British songstress lashed out at American singing sensation Katy Perry during a radio interview.
Here's what Lils had to say about dear Katy on the U.K. radio station Capital FM:
"I happen to know for a fact that she was an American version of me. She was signed by my label in America as, 'We need to find something controversial and kooky like Lily Allen.' And then they found her… I think the lyrics and stuff are a bit crass… When I met her I was bit frosty with her because someone asked her to describe herself. She's like, 'Aha, I'm like a fatter version of Amy Winehouse and a skinner version of Lily Allen!'. It's like, you're not English and you don't write your own songs, shut up!"
But, Lily, Katy does write her own songs!

So Lily Allen is quite an amazing artist. She is one of the few musicians that I can honestly say I listen to everyone of her songs that she has put out, and have listened to everyone of them just about over and over again, since I like them so much. I cannot say the same about Katy Perry. Her music has been done, she brings nothing new to the table. Im not trying to bash on her, but if she comes out with more hits I would be surprised. I admit, I kissed a girl was catchy in the beginning… but give it a couple of days of constant play and it got annoying. Thinking of you is the only song I like of hers. Now Katy Perry live? thats not so great. It sounds like a train wreck. Ive seen one video of her and she actually sounded great… but then I found more and it just got worse. People are probably going to take this as me disliking Katy Perry. But thats far from the case.

It's like some music exec needed to get a template pop record cut to get his end of year bonus, and the result was Katy's abysmal effort. Lily Allen on the other hand is no musical genius, but I just think they're two novelty pop acts with a minimal shelf life. They make these statements as a sad and obvious way of getting publicity, to make up for the lack of any real musical ability. Katy should go back to praising Jeeessssus, and Lily can go back to living off her father's career - and the rest of us can be saved from further aural torture.

I did feel bad when she would go out and get drunk, and then everyone said she was a drunk and needed to go to rehab for partying. She is a young girl and if I had been famous when I was her age there would have been the same things written about me!
