Britney's Album Sells Big - Even Better Still Than Expected!

Based on early sales last week, Britney Spears' latest album, Circus, was expected to debut with over 450,000 copies sold - up from an original prediction of around 300k..
But Britney has surpassed the expectations.
According to Hits Daily Double, Brit Brit has now sold 504,507 copies of Circus and made it to the top of the U.S. album charts!
She's sold more albums in her firs week than Kanye and Beyonce did with their new albums!

YES BRITNEY! I'm proud to say I was one of those 504,507 people HA! The album is not awsome, but some songs are pretty great, like MMM PAPI and If you seek Amy BUT it's a bit boring I must say…Mostly because she was rushed to realising it, in my opinion. For example to compare Lady Gaga's Fame to Britney's Circus, I must say Lady Gaga tops Brit. Sorry hunny, i still love you bigtime though

I'm not a fan but I'm happy for her. I couldn't help but be fascinated by her this last year. Perez got a lot of new fans when Britney 'lost it'. 10,000,000 hits the night she was taken away in a stretcher. He bragged about it himself lol. Oh well. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt that he actually feels some form of compassion towards her now and that hopefully explains his change in attitude towards her. I've been rooting for her comeback and I hope this is it.

I don't think their was enough promotion for this album … I bet it could've sold even more. I mean Kanye and Beyonce did hundreds of interviews and performances … but Britney only did a few… aha I guess she sells herself!

britney's baby one more time album sold 14 million albums in the US ALONE, so it went DIAMOND which is virtually unheard of, unless you're Michael Jackson in the 80's and became the second highest selling debut album by a female act in history! Watching that documentary was painful. It had some good moments. But obviously the PR did really well. Good for her. She's a singer who can't sing. I ain't hating on her either. Look at Cher! That's how you do it. Catchy beats and a lot of stage production. Brit's lost a lot of confidence with her dancing. I hope she steps it up for the people that are going to her concerts

Re: chrisbee – as a britney fan i kind of agree, when she first signed with Jive she wanted to create music that was kind of like a contemporary Sheryl Crows, but then her management convinced her to do pop which she agreed to because of her passion for dancing. you'll notice that the songs she writes are mostly ballads such as everytime, my baby, someday, ingnyaw, etc. and not the uptempo songs, but her stylistic voice is what gives the uptempo songs so much flavor, i mean imagine any other artist singing Oops.. they couldn't. However her style of singing, dancing abilities, girl next door appearance, reliability, and x-factor is what keeps audiences. Not to mention that her music sounds good in the ears of a lot of people (including me). I think right now more than anything what's keeping people coming back for more are her catchy tunes, that you just can't get out of your head! Good music, is good music, despite her personal struggles.

Either you enjoy the music and take it for what it is or go listen to crap underground indie artists who end up selling out anyways. Crap music, or good music? I choose the latter. Beyonce, at first in Hits Double Daily sold 505.000 copies and then when the official numbers came it was actually 483.000.
