well technically you cant really count passions, i mean yeah they have the gay storyline but chad is tottally in denial about it and vincent was only doing it to be evil, kinda puts a bad spin on the whole thing. Besides the two actors playing chad and vincent are so obviously homophobic that they cant even shoot the kissing scenes froma decent angle because theyre obviously both uncomfortable with kissing another man

Technically you cant really count passions. First of all chad is in complete denial about being gay and vincent was using the whole relationship for some kind of evil twisted blackmail thing so it just puts a bad spin on the whole thing. Then you have the fact the two actors playing chad and vincent are so obviously uncomfortable with the kissing scenes that they have to shoot them from wierd angles so you never actually see them kissing. Just kind of ruins the whole thing if you ask me.

Actually a few months ago on passions they had two gay men making out and subsequently having sex. They had a relationship for several months… although the acting on passions isn't the best it is still a show that has been awarded for it's diversity in cultural/ethinic/sexual orientation.

The reality is that there are so many gay guys in society that a lot of people believe are straight. The stereotype for gay men is that they all talk like prissy women, only care about clothes and fashion, they all walk around with their hands limping.. well basically that gay guys are more femenine than women are. However, there are so many gay men that are extremely "normal" for society's taste. Athletes, guys in fraternities, the boy next door.. So many people would be able to feel comfortable with their sexuality if the stereotype wasn't so extreme. Many openly gay men are outed at an early age because it is so obvious the extent of their femenine traits.. that's why a huge majority of openly gay men appear to be caddy, bitchy, women-like people. It's sad because closeted gay men feel so much shame because of the stereotype that is the polar opposite of how they really are that they learn to hold in all of their emotions, spend a great deal of their time alone, embarrassed, and the suicide rate for young closeted gay men is incredibly high. LOSE THE STEREOTYPE! Then you'll have more men feel comfortable with becoming openly gay. Think about it. There's always an exception to every stereotype. A lot of people think flamboyant gay men are douches. There are more douche straight guys than the world can handle. Have I made my point? It's really sad. And sadly I really doubt there's anything anyone can or ever will do about it.
