Milk the cow ’til its totally dry?
According to TV Guide, Desperate Housewives mastermind Marc Cherry announced on Wednesday that he wants the show to go on for a total of nine seasons, versus his previously envisioned seven.
That would mean another 4.5 years of DH.
Marc may not get what he wants, though! He's going to need to convince ABC to extend the show deal.
Insiders say Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman and Eva Longoria are on board until the seventh season ends in 2011.
In addition to the network, he'll have to convince the ladies to stay til the 9th season (unless he's going to kill them all off?).

this is ONE show where every single each episode was great…i never got bored watching a desperate housewives episode, never found myself getting distracted or pausing it…IT DESERVES NOT 9 BUT 10 SEASONS!

That'd be perfect, because DH gives me something to look forward to every week and my mom and I always watch it together. Also, I graduate in 2012 so by time I have a REAL life this show will be ending and until then like I said I need something to look forward too! lol
Also, anyone who doesn't like it doesn't have to watch it…. there's at least 60 other channels if you have cable. But they should definitely extend it for it's fans!
This show was so good the first season and since then every season gets worse and worse and has turned into a big turn. It felt like Hitchcock the first season. This show is exactly why shows burn out…….

My favorite show. I think the writers are really good. Each show has twists and turns and things you can't wait to figure out…..I still wish they hadn't done the 5 year jump but it's still a great show.

A year ago I would have said just put that show out of its misery. It felt so tired. But I've been enjoying the jolt forward. Sooo if they could keep up that kind of momentum. Wish all shows could negotiate their number of episodes and seasons so they could perfect pace and plotting.
The fat ole queen had better be signing Nicolette Sheridan to that full nine years too. If he does not he will lose me as a viewer. Love that nasty Edie!
