Milk the cow ’til its totally dry?
According to TV Guide, Desperate Housewives mastermind Marc Cherry announced on Wednesday that he wants the show to go on for a total of nine seasons, versus his previously envisioned seven.
That would mean another 4.5 years of DH.
Marc may not get what he wants, though! He's going to need to convince ABC to extend the show deal.
Insiders say Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman and Eva Longoria are on board until the seventh season ends in 2011.
In addition to the network, he'll have to convince the ladies to stay til the 9th season (unless he's going to kill them all off?).

Omg please no! Of course these old ladies are committed till 2011 they are old! I liked this show for the first couple of seasons and now it is pretty unbearable I hope they cancel to make room for something new and fresh!
This is flogging a dead horse.The femalE stars will be in zimmer frames by the time thy finish.Give it up already it has been soo tired for a few year already.Enuff. now

I'm a faithful watcher. I think they should stay on. Season 1 was hot because they had some really great storylines going on to catch the interest, season 2 kindof fizzled but they are building back up. I don't ever miss!!!

i watch this show every sunday, but come on!!! there comes a time when shows need to end and i think even going all the way to 7 seasons is beating a dead horse! i love the show but thats too much!
I'm French. I think Marc Cherry is a great director and I think I will make it to do something good. We'll see how far his imagination can go. Anyway, I love season 5!
